This is beyond brilliant! You are a true woodworker. I enjoy working with wood, and in fact, am doing a similar project like this now. Your work is meticulous, detailed, well thought out, now me, a whole different story, I drop screws, lose tools, have to dodge things not fastened down, trip over electrical cords, and am just exhausted by the end of my session. I guess we can't be good at everything right? If I could just do this close to you I'm satisfied!

First one showed missing parts. Second one was complete. It's a working bench grinder ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxC8HPnl24fu0XhMU_nbmWNEUoK1RMHXk . One thing I like alot is that it's surprisingly quiet. I don't feel like I'm sacrificing any rpms or power for the quietness either. All in all it's a very nice machine. No vibration whatsoever.

I think there may be one thing more you could add to make this a quicker change of the sandpaper,
Add a Velcro hook and loop system, much easier and quicker than having to scrape of the old glued sandpaper disk.

With a Velcro system, the grinding wheel is too soft- you do not get sharpened sharp edges. I tried it first.

ディスクをMDFにしたのは正解ですよ。重心に偏りがないので、フライホイールなんかも楽に作れるんですね。
ただ、断面は色々吸いやすいのでウレタン系の軽くて頑丈な塗料が良いでしょう。
これはもう製品レベルですね。

前から欲しかったものがまた一つ手に入りました。
前回の１号機があまりに雑だったので気になっていました。
全てリサイクルのもので改めて買った物はないんです。
憧れはプロクソンの商品ですがやはりいいものですからお高い！(Sペーパーはプロクソン)
私が使うにはまだ早いです、
これからこの自作したディスクサンダーを活用していきます。

丸いサンドペーパーにシールタイプがあるんですね。
木工旋盤もこちらのサンダーも、丸い加工ができるのが羨ましい。そろそろ旋盤専用のノミが欲しくなりますね。
話は全然違いますが、最近、阿井植雄さんのコメントがパッタリと無くなってしまってちょっと寂しいですね。

250mmはプロクソンから出ています。
シールとの相性を考慮してMDFに油性クリアーをスプレーしました。
いつも自己流です、あとでアドバイスいただき修正です。
旋盤は使い道はたくさんないですが、このディスクサンダーは有ると便利で早い！！
で非オススメしたい。

Another useful inexpensive piece of shop equipment that will be so useful for your future projects. The cost of this sander will be a fraction of what a brand name one would be and does exactly the same job, except I think your design will have a more effective dust extraction than many factory ones. May I ask what rpm the bench grinder runs at & are you happy with that speed?

My work has changed dramatically since I made this disc sander! Work efficiently and beautifully! ! A must-have tool.
Bench grinder rotation 3000 / 3600rpm
In my sense, this number of rotations is large, but it can be used!
