Its just pleasantly surprising how exciting Andor looks overall. The scale, the scope of the show seems massive compared to what we have seen before. This also feeds into how Tony Gilroy said they are not using the volume technology and instead using real locations. Also the budget clearly is much higher for this show than what I had expected. Really looking forward to it.
I still think Rogue One is the best of the Disney films and this looks like it'll be up there with that quality and storytelling. Definitely looking forward to this one
THIS is the kind of Star Wars I’m looking for. Love the era they’re working with, love the tone. No Skywalkers, no lightsabers, no “legacy” characters to create continuity problems. This is the story where Vader should have made his comeback, not that Kenobi rematch which basically amounted to nothing
This trailer is so epic! The #andorsweep is incoming. I can't wait. As for the delay: It's probably to get out of the unnecessarily crowded group of She-Hulk, House of the Dragon, The Rings of Power & Cobra Kai Season 5 all premiering inside of 4 weeks of each other. And the CGI doesn't look quite done yet. So giving yourself a little more time to finish up is always a good idea.
It probably has more to do with she hulk than anything. It’ll still coincide with house of dragon and rings of power which i think is great for us fans. I thought the cgi looked pretty cinematic, much more so than kenobi. Looks amazing, hoping it will be at the mandalorian level or even better, dare i say? 🤞🏽
@@betopower5275 I think you're right that She-Hulk will probably be the main reason for the move, as having Ms.Marvel & Obi-Wan come out at the same time in June completely sank Ms.Marvel, but getting away from the initial release of The Rings of Power & House of the Dragon will certainly have been factors. Andor will be the new kid on the block in mid-September, and will have more space to breathe ultimately. Yeah, seeing the trailer a couple of times again I think the CGI does look good. I still think there is probably a touch up coming and I don't think they would delay this show if there wasn't some reason inside of the production of the show itself.
@@kropianimation1774 It honestly was stupid of Disney to have Ms. Marvel and Obi-Wan on the same night. Disney could literally pick ANY damn day they want but were stubborn and made Ms. Marvel come out at the exact same midnight hour as Obi-Wan. This show looks like it's going to be about something other than the Skywalker bloodline. All the stuff about the Empire getting "fat" I assume will have a lot of real world parallels and I'm excited for it. Totally different from the fan fair of the Mandalorian but I like both.
I was looking forward to Andor because I liked the character of Cassian Andor, but now that I see this trailer I'm super hyped to see the series. This upped my interest in the show by magnitudes. Bring it on!!!
It was a great trailer. I'm not excited for the series, I've never been a huge Star Wars fan, but I can tell that this series is going to give us something special. Hope you do a great day today!
Thank god that Tony Gilroy is involved and you can just tell the scale of the show is way highter than any of the other Star Wars shows, thank god he dropped the volume tech for this and are shooting traditionally because the limitations of the volume tech has become pretty obvious now.
This looks really cool, I'm very excited for this series! btw - i actually had to study my tv, head tilted to recognize Brett on your new graphic. At first I thought he was an 80 yr old Jimmy Kimmel 😂
But it cost 3 weeks delay because they don’t intend on competing with rings of power or house of dragon. It’s soft of Disney not trusting their content.
I'm very much a casual Star Wars fan. I just didn't grow up with it. I think the original trilogy and The Mandalorian are great, but I thought Rogue One was just okay, and when this show was announced, I rolled my eyes on getting a prequel series on a character that, while not bad, I didn't care much about, but these trailers are freaking great. I'm surprisingly really looking forward to this show. After Boba Fett (which I didn't finish because I've heard nothing but bad things about it), and Obi-Wan, I hope this series isn't another disappointment. Star Wars _needs_ for this show to live up to these trailers.
Hey Mr. Harloff, great video. Do you think that we’ll get hints at Thrawn in this show, because in the new canon novels, this should be around the time that he is rising through the empires ranks? Thanks 🙏
There will be surprises. Every show they have done recently has shown characters we didn't expect or know were coming. Young Leia, Cad Bane, etc. So I wouldn't be surprised at all.
Looks fantastic! Certainly, it feels like the most adult and grounded series yet. Very theatrical feel to it. Keep up the great content... just recently subscribed!!!!!
This looks great. Definitely Jason a Syar Wars vibe too fitting in with R1. Very excited for it.

You know what would be amazing? If somehow, from behind the stage, Yoda was involved on starting the Rebellion. I don't know, maybe a force projection, hidden messages, or even secret meetings in Dagobah with key Rebellion leaders.
So, I have a whole theory about why I think that perhaps we don't know Andor and Jyn's fate. It's a long theory, but hear me out. Filoni wrote the World Between Worlds episode around the time Rogue One came out. At the time, there was a lot of speculation about who will die and who will survive in the movie. There were even rumoured alternative versions of the movie with survivors. In my theory, Filoni was creating a back up, should they wish to undo the final cut (in canon). Now, I always thought it was weird that Saw decided exactly where he was going to stand as the Deathstar shot Jedha. Similarly, Cassian made a lot of effort to get himself and Jyn down to the beach on Scarif. It was almost like they knew something we didn't. Don't forget, Ahsoka, Cassian and Saw have all used the Fulcrum Moniker in Canon. Ahsoka mysteriously disappeared into the temple after being rescued by Ezra through the world between worlds. She was gone for ages and turned back up giving it the Gandalf the white vibe. .... SO, if I was writing Andor, I would have the plot be a mystery thriller as he slowly uncovers information about force nexuses and temples etc. I would weave Ahsoka into the plot later, but I might not have her physically in it...maybe just a mysterious agent with her voice changed, like she was in early Star Wars Rebels. The plot would lead up to 0bby and plant all these seeds that lead up to the possibility of the main characters being rescued through the world between worlds...... Then I would subtly lean on those ideas during season one of Ahsoka (possibly through flashbacks and vague references to Ahsoka's past) but not give the game away.......The final scene of season two of Andor would take the story right up to that climax, and set up a much bigger project....... Then, of course, there's my even larger theory. This is that Lucasfilm plan to use the world between worlds or some other mcguffin to bring characters forward in time (through force manipulation or some kind of stasis OR both) to the time period after the sequel trilogy. They could do this for a looming war with dangers from the unknown regions. I would personally redeem Thrawn and have this be his long-game. In the novels, Thrawn is all about the greater good (there is even a book called the greater good). I think his stint with the empire could have all been for the greater good, and that maybe that greater good is to prepare for this coming war by collecting warriors and putting them into stasis for it.
People didn't really care for Andor, yet THIS looks like the best thing to come to Disney+ since the start. Why is this show getting movie quality budget? or why ONLY this show? This could be a Rogue One prequel movie trailer and people wouldn't blink twice.
I hope we get some Emperor in this. Not as a character who is plotting behind the scenes, but as a PRESENCE dominating everything. Let's see some holo proclamations from the Emperor, a steady drip of news about things he's doing that lead to stuff we eventually know. Our very first introduction to the Emperor was when Grand Moff Tarkin walked in to the meeting with the other generals in A New Hope saying that the Emperor has just dissolved the Imperial Senate. The Emperor's shadow needs to be everywhere. Maybe we see an Emperor's Hand?
This is the show I have been waiting to see ever since it was announced. I loved Rogue One and fell in love with its characters. I know there are folks who don’t understand why RO was made (and even hate it) but without it Andor would not be here to give us a taste of what occupation by the Empire looks like and the political intrigue/thriller the trailer is telling us to expect. I can’t wait for the 3-episode premier!!!
HOOOLY SMOKES! This is some real exciting stuff! Can't wait for this one!!! See, forget about shows & movies with old characters like Boba Fett or Kenobi, keep the new Star Wars stuff coming!!!
Moved it back almost a month, but this looks amazing. Movie quality on the small screen. Cassian said he has been fighting since he was 5 or something. Looks like we see that.
Rogue One is the great foundation on which this show is based and it shows :D , I am more than ready to see a mature Star Wars rather than the childish "fun" which we have been getting.
Maybe in this series he will meet K2-S0. It might be interesting if K2-S0 decided to help the Rebellion after he was forced to be one of the droids slaughtering Mandalore. Maybe he runs into Andor in this series.
This is the best star wars trailer in a while.....this looks much more intresting than other shows.....I liked Mandalorian but the story on itself didn't looked as intresting as this one And we all know boba and Obi-Wan didn't lived up to the hype I hope this is as great as the trailers
I was hoping Obi-Wan Kenobi was going to blow all other Star Wars TV shows out of the water with it's epic awesomess, but it's looking like it will be Andor instead. This went from being "it's Star Wars so I'll watch it" to "I can't wait for this show" with each successive trailer.

This definitely feels the darker dread tones. The feeling of living in an occupied force of a world. Looks great.
IT does!
It was a great trailer. I'm not excited for the series, I've never been a huge Star Wars fan, but I can tell that this series is going to give us something special.
Hope you do a great day today!
You too!
Excitement level went up several notches with this trailer.
For sure!
Thank god that Tony Gilroy is involved and you can just tell the scale of the show is way highter than any of the other Star Wars shows, thank god he dropped the volume tech for this and are shooting traditionally because the limitations of the volume tech has become pretty obvious now.
Good points.
I love how this looks. Can’t wait to check it out.
This looks really cool, I'm very excited for this series! btw - i actually had to study my tv, head tilted to recognize Brett on your new graphic. At first I thought he was an 80 yr old Jimmy Kimmel 😂
Genuinely can't wait to see this show, looks amazing. 3 episode launch now too is a welcome surprise
But it cost 3 weeks delay because they don’t intend on competing with rings of power or house of dragon. It’s soft of Disney not trusting their content.
@@FailingIsUnderrated everything at disney play second fiddle to marvel yup
Yeah it makes sense, they don't want to step on She-Hulk
I think the 3 episode launch is also about getting lots of minutes viewed for good PR
Agree
Hey Mr. Harloff, great video. Do you think that we’ll get hints at Thrawn in this show, because in the new canon novels, this should be around the time that he is rising through the empires ranks? Thanks 🙏
Very possible!
Thank you J, how did ya find me might I ask?
Show looks so good but it also looks really cinematic.
VERY!
This looks great, interesting cast, worlds we haven't seen and probably some surprises along the way. Soundtrack felt like a Muse track.
Loved it
This is what Star Wars tv is supposed to be. Look at the sense of scale of this thing. How did we not get this for Obi-wan!?
So excited for this show, the look and feel of this show puts the war back in star wars.
Yup
This trailer was great...and hopefully a return to what star wars was all about...I can't wait
Fingers crossed!
This feels like the Better Call Saul of Star Wars. Prequel series showcasing multiple storylines following three different characters.
"From the creators of Rogue One"
All I needed to know.
Okay! Now this is a galaxy at war!!
This looks INCREDIBLE. This was the show I've been looking forward to the most.
Me too!
I trust Tony Gilroy more than anyone to win a staring contest with Kathy Kennedy. And to tell her "No, it needs to be like this."
Espionage thriller and Star Wars combined, sounds like a pretty cool combo.
This looks better than anything they’ve done before. Love the look and feel of this. Looks like they spent money as well.
It looks like Star Wars. It feels like Star Wars. I hope the final product delivers. 💯👏🏼
I got goosebumps watching this trailer. This looks amazing. But I will temper my excitement until I see the show but this looks great.
Totally fair!
We getting Academy Award winner Forrest Whittaker reprising his role as Saw Gerrera in a Disney plus series. We are living in new times.
HOOOLY SMOKES! This is some real exciting stuff! Can't wait for this one!!! See, forget about shows & movies with old characters like Boba Fett or Kenobi, keep the new Star Wars stuff coming!!!
This is what I want Star Wars tv to look like.
Really looking forward to this show. Weird that the production looks a lot better than Obi-Wan.
every time I see something for this I become more interested so I am looking forward to this show
Finally a Star Wars project that looks like Star Wars
Moved it back almost a month, but this looks amazing. Movie quality on the small screen. Cassian said he has been fighting since he was 5 or something. Looks like we see that.
Easily the most cinematic of all the SW shows. Love the look, love the tone. Really excited for this one.
This is the best star wars trailer in a while.....this looks much more intresting than other shows.....I liked Mandalorian but the story on itself didn't looked as intresting as this one
And we all know boba and Obi-Wan didn't lived up to the hype
I hope this is as great as the trailers
Looks really good. This show seems to have a higher budget since they didn't use the Volume but it looks extremely high quality.
It does!
This trailer looks IIIIIIINCREDIBLE!! It seems to have the tone and cinematography that I adored in Rogue One - absolutely cannot wait for this show!!
Me too!
After being disappointed with Obi Wan. I didn’t think I would be as excited as I am about this. I loved Rogue One and to me it’s the best SW movie by Disney.
