      Thanks man, I appreciate it! The frame floor method was my go to method as well for stairs, it wasn't too difficult and produced good results. But now I'm using this pretty much exclusively, it's simple and far more flexible.

    Very nice and clean tutorial, thanks. I went and used small pillars on their side coupled with a clipped in catwalk ramp. Finally a shallow stairwell that I've blueprinted to create emergency exits as FICSIT employee's safety is my number one priority!

    This is a pretty cool method. I've been doing one where I use a beam and I place down road barriers along the diagonal and attach concrete beams to those barriers. This method looks a bit less painful than that, even if you do have to use foundations. I especially like the bit about the angled walls.

    Nice, now I'm going to go try to make a spiral staircase!

    • @GospelBearer
      @GospelBearer 9 місяців тому

      Okay so I just tried it, the only trick is to make your "circle" but then at each connection you have to move over 4m, then you have to "redraw" your original beam, basically off center each "joint" by 4m and then it looks right. I just did a hexagonal staircase and anyway I'm very happy with the result!

    • @GospelBearer
      @GospelBearer 9 місяців тому

      A legit spiral staircase is probably possible my placing your circle and then by making pilons/pillars on each square... at an increasing height and then repeating the process... I'll have to experiment

    • @relyengaming
      @relyengaming  Рік тому

      Very true! I think if you also got it inline with the wall angles, you could clip some ramps in and use the ramp railings as well. Then maybe replace the edge of the ramp with a wall for the railing to sit on.

      Default only sizes to 1m increments, so it wouldn’t work I believe. But after doing a bunch of these, I don’t even notice the smaller first step.
      That said, if you could size it just right to hit a Pythagorean triple, you could get a whole number for the Freeform beam.

      A pause button would be nice too, but there is a pause feature hidden in the game (if you didn't already know). You just need to open the console and type "pause" to effectively pause the game. But a button would be nice too 😉 or pause on ESC menu when playing single player or something.
