So about the Songbirds Guitar museum. You wanna know how the Choo Choo hotel made space for that? They abruptly kicked out an active model train club with a massive layout that had been around since the 1970s for the sole reason as to make that museum. The club thankfully lives on at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and the new layout is getting closer to being complete but the guys who were there when the hotel forced them out in 2018, especially the ones who were there from the start are still kind of bitter about it.
But what's done is done, no need to really dwell on the past. If y'all come on back around Chattanooga, pay the railroad museum a visit, and ask about the model train club. We might just be around working that morning.

Thanks for watching the show. I'm certainly glad to hear the railroad museum found a new home at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. Happy to hear the model train club is still working too! We do a feature on a ship model business in Maine later this season "Searsport" episode . . . the art of crafting models (such as ships and trains) needs to keep getting passed on, and we love to tell the stories of people who are keeping it alive.
