    The reason I'm doing headphones is because I can't do earbuds anymore. They fall off easily and it feels like I need to jam them in to get the full effect.

      I feel you. Only earbuds I find acceptable are the AirPods and the AirPods Pro. Most other earbuds just make me want to vomit the way they sit in my ears and it’s even worse cause I have tinnitus. I’m also in the need of ANC headphones cause I have the Bose AE2 but the sound quality went to shit after I changed the pads.

    They really ARE that good at $60.. I was amazed at first when I got mine. Sound quality is very good for 95% of people.. even audiophiles give them high marks for anything under $150 😮
    They are worth every penny.. where they are kinda cheap is build quality. So if you break stuff easily.. get the Q45 which are built like tanks (but cost $150).

      I've always gone around this budget with over ears, have you found that the material around the top has stretched at all from a year of putting them on/ taking them off and it's more difficult to keep them on your head if bending over/lying down?

      @@e.griessel5818 Yes definitely. I recently upgraded to the q35 bc I broke my old headphones from repair.
      And get this, the limited dexterity in the ear cup swivels gives me a better seal on the cups and the sound is better. No joke. If you disregard all the other functions of the newer life series,then I would pick the old pair for sound quality alone.

  • @OurGodReigns

    Thanks! I think I'm just gonna go ahead and buy these as I've been researching for about four days. Some questions on amazon weren't answered. ;) But on buses what would you say about these headphones? They won't be any worse than previous earpods I've owned sounds like. I haven't ever owned a headset like this.
    My previous earpods, wireless, would always play really loud as a default. I always had to turn them down every single time. You think that's a problem with the earpods or my device? As I say I don't know about these things. I never got in touch with the manufacturers as I only made the decision six months in or so. I don't think they'd be willing to exchange or whatever at that stage would they?
    What I'm tryna get at is do you think it's my old ipod device, I've had it for almost ten years, that was messing up the volume or the earpods themselves. There were one or two other issues so probably the pods but seems they've packed up altogether now. Another red flag it would seem!
    I think spending a bit more money on headphones like these - I got a recommendation from someone certainly more in the know than me also! will be worth it!!

    • @KuittheGeek

      I would agree. I would recommend you do some post processing on your audio and employ some noise reduction, as I could definitely hear some background static. I use audacity and a post processing method from EposVOX for my videos. I have found it does a really good job to normalize the audio and reduce the background noise as well as just give a better overall sound to my audio.

    I am considering these headphones to use a productivity device while studying around the house. Given my current needs, I don’t anticipate traveling with these or being in ultra noisy environments, but I want to be able to block out household distracting noises with the aid of a little ambient sound in the headphones and the ANC feature. Do you think these headphones provide enough ANC to accomplish that?

    • @TheDShow
      @TheDShow  3 роки тому +1

      The ANC dulls noise around you it doesn't remove it but its really hard to say depending on how load things are around you.

  • @dd376ers

    Lovely video! Really want to get these, but one of my biggest worries is the echo you mentioned might come through phone calls. How often have you actually heard other users say the echo has been a problem when using these phones for calls? Just curious, not trying to say you haven't done your research haha! Thanks so much!!

    • @TheDShow
      @TheDShow  3 роки тому +5

      It wasn't much of an issue and in the UK are mobile networks can very often be bad for call quality so it depends greatly on that but for calls I think these will he fine for general use.

    The only problem I had with this headset was in wireless mode. For some reason whenever I was close to a tp link powerline (and I have a few of those in my house) the WiFi speed would drop to 6 Mbps from 60 Mbps. I guess its because they probably both operate at the 2,4 Ghz band and there is interference from the Bluetooth. Unfortunately the TP link kit that I have does not jump to the 5 Ghz band so it is what it is I guess. However, the problem does not appear close to my router which also works at the 2,4 Ghz. I just use the cable around home. Apart from that this headset is the most value for money thing I've ever seen hands down. The base is strong , the battery is great, and they are super comfortable.

    I think the mic test was actually using the phone's mic. When he picks up the phone off the table the sound changes dramatically.

      Yes this has already been said in the comments. I was using an app to record the bluetooth input but its possible it recorded my phone mic instead.

    Are you sure that they lost quality when connected by the audio jack? That’s like against the concept of data transfer. I thought the quality would be the same or better with the audio jack. I ordered this yesterday to use for my garageband projects and you killed my buzz by saying this, because I gotta use it wired to avoid delays and what’s the point if they lower the quality? Can you please clear this up for me? :(

    • @TheDShow
      @TheDShow  3 роки тому

      It didn't sound bad it just seemed like there was a slight dip in volume and quality I think this can depend what your plugged into though maybe I should have tested in another port/device.

      I emailed Soundcore about this issue but didn’t get a response, yet. Then I canceled my order, a few hours after commenting on your video. I was worried that the headphones wouldn’t be satisfying enough. As I said earlier, I needed wired headphones to avoid delays while using Garageband. And I thought Life Q20 would be like 2 in 1, but I don’t need this to be my daily device. I use Airpods Pro for anything else I need to do. I hope I won’t regret my decision to cancel the order cause they were only $46 and I can’t spare more money for those at the moment😅 I’ll try to find something better in the same price range. I’d appreciate it if you have any other suggestions.

    I think that when you recorded audio with the smartphone, the sound was captured with the mobile phone's microphone and not with the headset, could it be? When you take the phone from the table I can hear the noise of the smartphone rubbing against the table.

    idk whether someone has pointed this out yet, but i dont think your headphone microphone was the one recording, because when u lifted your phone up the audio changed because it wasnt on the table anymore. i think your lhone was recording, although i could be wrong.

    • @krismoonpie

      For sure the audio recording was coming from the phone and not the headphones, you can hear the audio change when the direction of the phone changes, and when the phone is picked up from the table you can hear the phone microphone drag on the table which shouldn't be audible if the audio recording was coming from the headphones. Thanks for the review otherwise.

    I have a question about using a pair of "over the ear, noise cancelling wireless headphones. I want to use a USB Flash drive in stead of my phone as the music source. I will be using them for yard work and I'm sure #1. It would kill my phone and #2. it would be out of reach if I kept it stationary "out of pocket". It's a very big property. I don't want to have to keep moving my phone every time it goes out of range. Are there any head phones that do this out of the box? or is it something I would have to take to an electronics shop? Thank you for any help you could send my way. Have a great day everyone.

    • @TheDShow
      @TheDShow  3 роки тому +1

      Im not aware of a way you can use a USB stick as the source. Using your smartphone shouldn't drain the battery that fast you can also get some pretty small cheap powerbanks to plug into your phone while your working to keep it charged up.
