Juan Cruz Payal (2005) is currently the youngest player in the reserve team but looks like one of the most talented, already with an internatiol tilte to his name, the U20 intercontinentinal cup wich he won with Boca Juniors this summer against AZ Alkmaar. Altough he never made it to the pitch in that tournament, he really stepped up his game ever since and has solidified himself as one of the most interesting names in the U20 team and one of the academy's top talents.
Pros:
+ Can be deployed on the wings or in more forward and central areas but likes to play without a position, just looking for holes to receive in.
+ Deeply intelligent off the ball, thrives when he roams and is a master at opening lines of passing in forward zones, he's a real jigsaw of a player to mark.
+ Even when playing as a winger, likes to go to the opposite flank to create numerical superiority scenarios, leaving his marker in a 1v1 situation with the wingback.
+ High technical level.
+ Impecable first touch.
+ Very confident on the ball.
+ Composure.
+ Dribble.
+ Superb ability of playing in tight spaces, very resourceful and agile, capable of making quick sharp turns and rotating over his opponent.
+ Remarkable ability of getting the ball into the offense, rarely recicles possession or passes back to the defenders.
+ Despite talented dribble, never makes unnecessary touches.
+ Unpredictable.
+ High indexes of aggressiveness and work rate, willing to leave position to defend.
- Strength, easily pushed of possession.
- Due to his playstyle, teammates with less creative ability can have a hard time spotting him and requires him and others to adapt more than usual.
