Hands down these two are the best.
    Proprietary software: 1password
    Open Source: Bitwarden
Those two are literally the best. They have never been breached. They securely sync across all your devices without reaching the servers which are very very major when considering a password manager. If you have some cash for a password manager go for 1password otherwise Bitwarden. I have tried them both and They have a really clean UI. If you want the best security and I emphasize on that, Go for KeepassXc Hosted on your device. This is the ultimate advice for password managers. For sure. I personally would go with the open-source software cause I love open source but 1password is awesome too. These 3 go neck to neck.

I am using UNIX Password Manager "Pass" with encryption with GPG keys(Mac).(Pass requires this). Access the passwords from Chrome "BrowsePass" plugins. BrowsePass only display the passwords after authenticated with passphrases in system every 5 mins. So Chrome cannot cache the passwords. Using QtPass to manage the passwords in Pass database. If you want to explore something on your own, try with this. It is a kind of bit and pieces ,but if start work on this, you will love it. GoPass is another choice.
