So I've built a gishath deck for 5 times this price and it's still gonna lose to my chiss goria deck every time. He's so clunky. BUT that 10% where you drop a whole jurrassic world movie on the field and nobody has a farewell makes it worthy.
XD LMAOO legit perfect way to describe it. It is clunky but you play it for when you get them big azzz dinos out! "drop a whole jurrassic world movie on the field" 😭that made my day
For anyone watching this after LCI (lost caverns of ixalan) came out in Dec '23, there are bunch of budget upgrades now. That set also lowered Gishath's price significantly leaving room for spicier upgrades. The main 2 I'd suggest are pantlaza, sun favored and wrathful raptors. Note: Trapjaw Tyrant spiked because it wasn't reprinted with LCI.
Got into MtG with LOTR and Dinosaurs have been one of my favourite archetypes in Yugioh and Hearthstone so this video was amazing to branch out from LOTR! Thanks a lot!
I actually built this deck from the older video a couple months ago and I love the deck! I play Eerie Interlude in mine so I can protect Gishath or any other dinos from mine or opponents board wipes. I also use Ancient Imperiosaur bc he can get pretty big easily
sweet!! That seems like a good card to add. Having the protection in a sense is pretty important. Imperiosaur is awesome I think not adding it was dumb of me
Have been getting into a lot of Gruul decks (like Faldorn and Sleva Ice Shaper) and tried this one out bc it seemed fun and ive been loving it, I especially like how it also does not fully rely on the commander but the commander really helps
Tarrasque is pronounces Tar-Rask. It's an endgame monster from D&D. Basically world ending Kaiju. It's from a French myth of a Christian saint who tamed a dragon, i think.
I'm interested to see how this deck change when the next dinosaurs set comes out. Maybe we get a five color commander that helps gishath and the dinosaurs that can support us.
Hey man, love the content just subbed. I see that you also play Yu-Gi-Oh, could you advise me on a MTG deck. I want something that plays similar to dragon link (doesn't have to be dragons), with lots of searchability, resilience and control/tool box. Let me know if you have any good suggestions!
Gigantosaurus is a 5 green cmc 10/10 , choose your weapon in any dino deck is a good one becuz it lets you either double the power and toughness of a creature or shoot something with flying for 5
@@mtgonabudget a few things that may be good for the deck is Jeska, Thrice Reborn, she won't enter with many loyalty counters but her 0 ability triples the damage target creature would deal, and has a minus X to deal X damage to up to 3 targets to trigger enrage, the equipment "hot soup" will give your commander unblockable (if it is dealt damage it will be destroyed though), and warstorm surge, it's a 7 mana enchantment wich shouldn't be a problem with all that ramp, and it reads "whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, it deals damage equal to its power to any target" wich is great with all the dinos you're getting
I am not sure how to rate the power level. It all depends on the matchups and play group. Since it is pretty budget the power level is sort of low but can be explosive. For a budget deck, i think its one more of the strong side
Here are some of my key cards in my dino deck Invasion of Ikoria Kogla and Yidaro Sneak attack Deacimate Bolt Bend Taurean Mauler Garruk's Uprising Majestic Genesis Shadow of the warp Bear umbra Last March of the Ents
that no bad tho haha these are just ideas to get started on a deck and then upgrade over time if someone likes the strategy! None of my actual decks are under $100 but i do start decks I build at 100

I am justing building this deck, so when i saw this video i was hyped, thanks for the recommendations!😊
sweet! Hope some of the cards you have or like enough to add to your deck
@@mtgonabudget is it perhaps a possibility to include the not so budget options in a separate video?
@@gintonicgino8350 i added some in this video but i can do like a follow up/upgrade video to certain decks. I think that makes sense

the new dinos will give us even MORE possibilities . I am excited to see what they print!
@@mtgonabudget yea. In also excited to see what happened to other elder dinosaurs. If memory serves me, we only know two of them
Would love to see an update with the new Ix dinos too! Keep it up 👍

hey not sure if u see this but why didnt u put a sol ring in there isnt that a standard mana card for every commander deck?
1:30 tur (from turn)- ask, or tear (ripping, not crying)-ask; used interchangeably.
thanks! that was helpful
Speaking of which. If you could make a dinosaur card in the next set, what will it be?
aw man I would have to sit down and really think about this! It would def be a BIG dino with a lot of attack. Maybe Jund colors... i need more time XD
@@mtgonabudget you have, what two months before the set drops. Enough time for it XD
Dude, this is sick! Will you make an update with Ixalan dinosaurs too, please?🫡
I remember the first video, gishath is a dream commander
BIG DINO SLAM

Add true conviction. Double strike and lifelink are so powerfull in this deck
What about the Kaldhelm snow duel lands with land types
you come back now ya hear!?

Do you have a site or a pdf of a list of all these cards? New to mtg and I like this deck, I’d like to create it.
Sorry for late reply but yes they will always be in the description! www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5045290#paper

@@ChefOrc I think I got it when Ixalan was about to rotate standard, it's hard for me to realize that was about 6 years ago...
