It was the only live-action show from this time that carried over into the new generation, and that is what makes me like the show even more.
I wonder why they didn’t put the Wizards of Waverly Place movie in theaters like they did with Hannah Montana or High School Musical.. I mean wizards was pretty big and I’m sure the movie on the big screen would have been DOPE
Yes, that would have been cool all right! Either way, this movie was what got me into the series overall, and I watched this movie several times over the break to help out with Alex’s journal entries.
On one hand, Wizards wasn't as big of a cash cow as Hannah Montana or High School Musical. On the other, this show was EXTREMELY popular during its' run! Not just with kids, either! There had to have been grown adults who didn't even have kids who were addicted to this show! And this was the second highest viewed DCOM of ALL TIME!!! AND the only one of the four highest viewed DCOM premieres that ISN'T a musical! That gives me the reassurance that this movie could've at least been moderately successful on the big screen.
I’m from Mexico and was obsessed with Disney Channel USA and a friend of mine went there for vacation and DVR’d a lot of programming and she brought me this premiere!
