It is not often that we see BASN earphones review. They usually come well accessorized but the cable is typically meh. Thanks for the review. Also, that angle on the nozzle looks aggressive.
new KZ Symphony has same Planar and 6mm DD Config
This tuning along with the comfortable shell looks like it might be a good bedtime iem. If I had the money, I'd try them.
Could you compare this to the KZ Symphony once you have it? They have the same driver setup, 1DD for bass, 1 planar for the rest.

Nice looking case and package
Just had a chance to listen to it. It sounded very thick and heavy on the bass side for me. Bass was overpowering the vocals. I did NOT like it at all.
What about if you out them on an amp? Do you think they would perform better??
They will sound better with a basic amp or DAC than they do straight out of a phone or laptop.
How would these compare to warmer sounding single driver planar iem like the Kiwi ears melody or Kefine klanar? The melody only has a 10 dollar difference at 89$ and I've seen the klanar go as low as 95$ on some sites. I wonder if the dynamic driver adds anything or if the other two maybe fix the issues the BASN mix pd has.
TBH, I would take either of the other 2 before this one. Melody and Klanar sound more cohesive and engaging.
How does it compare to KZ PR3 in terms of tuning and Kiwiears Melody in terms of quality?
Similar sound signature as the PR3. It's more detailed than the Melody but it's also leaner and brighter. Build quality is good on both. Melody has a slight edge in comfort for my ears.
I really liked these IEMs but unfortunately they were insanely uncomfortable in my ears for extended periods of time, I think I wore them for 2 hours before my ears started to burn and I needed to give my ears a break where with other IEMs I can have them in for 4+ hours, I guess it was the design of them in the end that did it for me
Yes, I think they are suited for shallow insertion with larger tips. If you liked the sound, maybe you would enjoy the Nicehck f1 pro

Why do companies use QDC?
They are supposedly more rugged and less prone to damage over time.
@@PrimeAudioReviews From what I've read in audio groups, it's the QDC that is actually prone to damage. That plastic connection on the IEM easily gets damaged just by removing the cable.
@arieljimenez6785 Compared to an mmcx? Sure. A recessed 2-pin? Absolutely not, a pin with no protection is going to get damaged way before the QDC
