@@superluminoussupernova7289 You're totally right. Seems like they've worked out how to rearrange everything a bit with the newest models in that line too.
I like it. Fell in love the first time I saw it. I very much like the dials the lume and the BT connectivity. I’m no hiker, so no worries on missing out the real pro trek features. This is next on my list!
With a pebble or small impromptu projectile, you can use the strap as a sling shot to snipe small game for a snack or trophy, depending what you fancy more.
Perfect outdoors watch. You return home, this is still outdoors... on a branch, a fence, or anything else this strap stayed hanged on. Kudos Casio, form follows function! (...not!) PS Bezel function... another solution to a non existing problem. Lugs width though, is a (big, 23mm big) problem. Did i say bravo Casio?
Cool watch but it’s not a protrek. I don’t care what Casio says. How is is good treking? Doesn’t seem to have any functions that would make it good that. Hopefully this is just a first swing at this and more capable models will follow.
Interesting design, but this is just a cheaper casioak for kids. This is not a protrek by any means. Not even a compass. I know it's affordable but.... I recently bought the prw-6900y protrek, which is similar in design, metal bezel, multiband 6, tough solar movement, identical to the one found in my older mudmaster gwg 1000-1A3ER. It was on sale for about 300 usd, but it's offering all the functions of a good outdoor watch. I only like the lume on this bungie cord version.
Have been eyeing an affordable Protrek for sometime..Not sure if this one meets my needs without Altimeter, Compass and step counter..I’ll give it a pass ! I’ll live with my SGW-400..
There is the protrek prw-6900, with ABC sensors, solar and multiband 6, with a metal bezel, the design is similar to this one, tough movement. The price was around 300 usd. The module is identical with the one found in my older mudmaster gwg 1000-1A3ER. It has no bluetooth.
Agree just odd on top of odd. I hope they have a normal strap for it! How long do they think that brilliant orange will stay brilliant? How available will a replacement be once that get dirty or perishes? Just trying to be different for difference sake. I'd just get a Casioak. I recall a Swatch Pop with a brightly coloured elastic band. Less than a year it was permanently stained and all sort of stretched and baggy.
If you are not just looking for a Casio you could get a Garmin it have more detailed tracking but you will have to charge it one a month but you do get a color screen and all the smart watch nick nacks
Casio needs to stop fucking around and make something that destroys Garmin or go back to the way they used to make protreks and pathfinders with better screens and all the features in a true 4/5/6/7 sensor watch
It's a reskinned Bluetooth Casioak :O
It's exactly that isn't it. Minus the shock protection.
And a CasiOak is a re-skinned Edifice...
@@superluminoussupernova7289 Which model?
@@OTRKyofte many of the ECB series

It's like a funky Casio homage to a Bell and Ross.
Very well explain ed i order this was confused over strap well you made my day thanks 🙏Thanks

I like the bezel function but I agree that the display should of been a positive display and not the negative display
Looking quite cool, especially straps
Hey Sam does that strap setup match any G-Shock lug widths?
That would be cool to slap on a G-Shock if they match size wise 🙂
It’s such an odd size, just over 23mm I’m not sure.
there are jdm models of this watch with positive displays. i think they look just fine.
I like it, something different
A Pro-trek without sensors is not a Pro-trek.

nice watch really like that strap not a fan of the 23m cheers
very interesting strap and bezel,

This seems to be desk hiker rather than Pro hiker.
No ABC sensor is a joke.
I think they missed the trend on gorpcore. If they greyscale it, nice cyberpunk looking watch.
I had to look up gorpcore… you learn something new everyday
Ga2100 Is just a better option
Childproof bezel. Why didn't i think of this?

Odd looking, odd bezel, odd lug width. Overall it's odd.

Without sensors, what's the point of naming it "ProTrek"?
well its different and that's good, not my type of watch but i like it all the same.
Pro Trek without the ABC sensor is not a Pro Trek. Sorry Casio.
Very cool design. But pointeless. But very cool.
It’s cool, but I’d rather have a Timex Ironman.

So it has a bezel that nont even the review knows what it does.
It just locks the buttons! I know what it does 😂

Cute, but answers a bunch of questions nobody asked…
