Mike i just want to apologize. In Charlotte nc back in 2011 when you guys played with Katatonia i was a very bad drunk and said you sucked when you started playing a solo song from damnation without the band. I actually got thrown out(well deserved) but ive been sober for 9 years now.
Was there... I was frustrated by the lack of respect for Katatonia and even Opeth. It was a good show but the public in general was Very Very annoying. Glad you are Sober & TCB.
I had to pause the video just to laugh. His comparison was so random that he said it with a straight face just to see the reaction of the interview, but he didn't understood the joke. Thank you Mikael.
The first opeth album I ever heard was Morning Rise. Completely changed everything for me. After all the amazing music they have put out throughout the years After all these years my top 5 albums in order are still, Morning Rise, Still Life, My Arm's Your Hearse, Orchid, Blackwater Park.
It seems to be an album to returnig to the more extremely roots of its music.Where the Opeth keeps its progressivism and experimentalism out to embrace the dark and phantasmagoric one. And it'll be as good as everything ever done by Opeth.However,"tik-tok"record should not be a fairly nomination for it. Because its music is something to become a stuff stable not being likely a product to lifespan shorter.
@@trendmassacre8423 I would not say"polically correct"but marketing strategy to display something to public!I mean how to sum your product to people have understand that. And the term Tiktok coined by him to describing his music should not be a grand apresentation or categorisation for that one. There's no essemble of being polically correct or not it is just a point of view brought by myself up that concerns over marketing strategy, which the band has to show to be selling its product.

@@maxerea4380no, it isn't. Bloodbath has a vocalist. It'd be a ridiculous thing to ask. Should he have been asked if he's gonna step in for Jonas on another full Katatonia album, too? The first half of Bloodbath's career was great but it is not at all important to ask about it.
A word of advice to the interviewer, shut up and let your guest talk and ONCE they get done speaking THEN ask the next question and repeat the process!!
I love Mikael's soundtrack for Clark!
Mike describes the new album: “it’s like TikTok”
Classic tongue in cheek Mikael 🥸
he loves to do a little trolling
Damn i wish TikTok was like Opeth
😆
@@thiagobelline from the next album onwards, it will be!
i really like listening mikael just talk

Good on ya mate for addressing those issues
Well, that's good of you and I'm happy you're sober since it sounds like the best way for you, but I'm pretty certain he wouldn't remember that at all

classic interviewer mistake. thinks he's being friendly by finishing Mikael's sentences but in fact he's just interrupting
Even the editor cuts off his last se
The interviewer just straight up interrupting Mikael, wth.. we're here for Opeth buddy, not for you.
Yeah shit interviewer tbh
I think he did fine, not once noticed him unnecessarily interrupt
I thought he was very amateurish. Totally agree
Totally agree! This interviewer ruined the vibe throughout.
Totally ruined this interview - constantly interupting Mikael's flow
i laughed so hard when he said the album is like Tik Tok, in a really unhappy with the comparison tone

Thank you Mikael.
So confirmed more songs with more growls! Hell yeah!
It would have been so funny if all but the first track were Nepenthe 😂
Yep, lots of growls throughout (said a guy on youtube who got an advance copy).
Aww... Mikael
i cant deal with interviewers that interrupt guests.
Great interview overal! I just wished the interviewer also had a microphone and didn't interrupted Mikael too much
Interviewer: How would you describe the new album?
Mikael: It's like uhm TikTok
xD
Mikael you are awesome 🤘🤘🖤🖤
Still Life is still the best ♥️🖤
My fave album of theirs 🤘
So excited I cannot wait for my box set!!!
Nice bit of pryma at the start 🤘
I like band photos lol 😅 especially the Still Life - Watershed era photos.

Why is he interrupting the poor man and not letting him speak? 🙄
I can’t stop noticing how similar Mikael and Asmongold look, even their expressions
So why isnt he asking if he would make another album with Bloodbath?
Because it's not important

I don’t think so, or at least I think it’s not a priority for him. Besides Bloodbath already has a vocalist
