I'm not sure why the channel's called 'Almost Machining' - but that's where I'm about ! I've inherited my father's home shop and working towards getting the machines running again - with a plan to use them ! I'm still working on electrics but have been distracted with other hassles at the moment. Just a couple of video comments - first, the sound is very quiet on this video (as it's the first I've watched, the issue may apply to all your videos). It should be possible to fix that in the video editor. The other thing is - at normal playback speed, the action appears to take place in slow motion. When you run that section at fast speed, the movement appears to be nearer right. It's as if the frame rate of the camera is wrong. For the US, I'd expect a frame rate of 30 or 60 fps. It's like it's half or even quarter that speed and the software is interpolating making copy frames. Actually, I've just checked, and it's 1/3 - so there are 3 identical frames then we get the next image 3 times as well. (UA-cam does frame by frame advance using the , () keys - so you can see what I mean by using those keys on a paused video.) Perhaps you can go through your camera settings for audio level and image settings and end up with better videos ?
I agree on the sound levels. They have been a bit messed up in the past. Ill take another look at the framerates im using. Thank you for pointing those out. It takes a lot of time to fix old equipment. I am sure you will do a fantastic job!
@@AlmostMachining So much else to do keeping me away from the machines :( The framerate issue was just on the one video (of 2 I've looked at). Audio kit often has an AGC (Auto gain control) i.e. adjusts the recording volume to suit. Doesn't mean it gets it right or there maybe settings for it.
The newest ones should be louder. Intry tonavoid automating too much in the editor. Ill take a look at that for sure to see if I can pull it up a bit on the next one. You will get to your stuff as time permits. Im busy with work just about all day every day it seems
Keen to see this build up and running Phillip. 🍻

Take care.
Paul,,
