Seeing a move doesn't mean seeing it literally, as everyone knowing how the pieces move, should be able to see most of the possible moves. Neither is it intuition, unless you have a pattern in mind. The point is having a good reasoning and being confident - to a certain degree of course - for a move.
I am glad that I have found this channel a week ago. Great job! Sometimes, when the dog taps on the floor, I am watching around my room because of the sound system... and I have no dog. I am missing this dog. ;)
This game reminds me of Anand's game against Naka, some years ago, where Anand was +4, then lost the game after some inaccuracies... It's easy to complain how come Anand losses such kind of winning positions. But one has to realise that it's very hard over the board to find the best move all the time. Nevertheless, the result may be negative for Anand. However he is still finding something new and keeping the chess world entertaining. I'm sure he will end this tournament in top 5. Mark my words. The real champion!!!
It also reminded me of a complex game against Ding Liren in the Siquefield cup i believe (2019) where Vishy had plenty of chances to put the game to bed but miss the key moves to secure the win.
@@yeagerist977 yes but I intentionally put must because its a must win for him I believed. Its high time he had a win after such attacking Tal like games.

Just love when a player plays d4...e4 seems to be played most of the time at high level chess. It’s like watching 2 engines play. e4 is great when Black responds with the French, and the Dutch is another fantastic opening never seen at the highest level. Most of the classic Soviet players played the French.
In the variation at 6:13 I think fabi can also bail out with a forced a draw which i think is instructive 1...Qf8 2.Nh6+ Kg7 3.Nf5+ gxf5 (3...Kg8 then 4.Nh6+ repeats) 4.Qg5+ Kh8 (4...Qg7 5.Qd8+ Qf8 repeats) 5.Qf6+ Qg7 (5...Kg8 then 6.Qg5+ again, repeats) 6.Qd8 Qf8 draw by 3 fold.
Actually this is one of the game, which just forces us to think or imagine about winner and loser journey, the game should get title "who is winning, who is losing" or "who won, who lost", yet it gives a result in the end, but if we look and deeply understand this game, i think one should not get satisfy with result, you just don't care about winner and loser, it is just a masterpiece for human moves and emotions and credit goes to both players.
I'd like to remind everyone that early on Fabi had full center control with both central pawns. Material and tactics aside, fundamentals once again win the day.
N0, Anand had plenty of time. In fact, he could have captured the f7 pawn before recapturing the knight on e4 since both the white knight and bishop would be hanging. It was a VERY complicated position regardless of time even for these great platers. What a great game! Thank you so much. It reminded me of that shit Gufeld tells in his book about the King´s Indian I think... that many GM do not know that an ending with an a or h pawn and bishop of opposite colour to the queening square against King is a draw. Amazing level of chess.
I feel like fabi trade was really good. He exchanged his rook for a bishop but anands knight couldnt do anything all game as he was locked by the bishop
