Saving towards a squad skin was one of the factors that kept me playing this game. This change makes it all but impossible for me to now get a skin. Designing towards the big spenders is up to them, but when the core of their players just stop playing because they have lost their incentives then the game will slowly die.
This is the end of the game. I have 90 squad skin vouchers and 2400 hammers. I could have placed top 20 last round and won the 10 vouchers needed, but wasn't online before reset. Now I have to place high multiple times for that damn squad skin. I'm pissed!
@@Mrbrain600 Well, at 8 coins per voucher, I would need 80 coins. I am going to rule out 1st, 2nd. And 3rd place for me, realistically. I would need to get 4th or 5th place twice. This would currently require 2500+ hammers. I have around 2300.. so I would have to buy at least a few hundred to even get 4th or 5th right now. I'm not a big spender, I bought a big spender account. Lol
They nuked the objectives and there’s that ambiguous “if you don’t compete bad things happen” line. Reasonable to assume you lose your tier. But whatever it is there is a clear creep here to get people to stop saving and spend more. I’m not a huge fan.
while i dont like that wording, its hard to say what "not competing" means. if its not ranking then thats and issue but if its just not participating, you could throw in one item and still keep your rank. we will have to keep an eye on that moving forward. i do agree though you would likely lose rank
@@Mrbrain600 I feel like before, even if it took a year or more, a f2p player stood a chance of placing in the ranking if they saved diligently. Maybe that chance still exists but if saving costs you your tier in the meantime then saving at all is now a little redundant. Not to mention also much harder since they “updated” the missions to conspicuously remove many of the f2p friendly ones. Considering their last publicly reported earnings this is just bad faith and greed, they don’t need it, they want it and nuts to the players.
Agree on step in right direction. Lower spenders can get a better carbon reward. Also, making a rankings system based on individuals prevents whales from shopping regions for these kinds of events.
Everyone had a chance before to get a skin, i had hoarded 3500 hammers and bullets i was thinking "When i get 5k i'll drop everything" but , now i will never get a skin because it doesn't matter if i hoard.
Which also means people who spend a lot will be competing against eachother on higher tiers, if we take the comment of the guy whos on master, he has to win 7 TIMES Top1 to get a SINGLE SKIN, lets be real, they would rather get the armament piece, this event is a stray bullet IMO
For what i've gathered already from people on my alliance and my own experience. It seems that the event isn't region locked any longer, but TIER locked and you'll be matched up against people of your same tier, but the higher the tier the better the rewards on Gold Coins, For platinum people and below its IMPOSSIBLE to get skin anymore because you simply don't get enough coins to get enough pieces for skin, and the "Punishment" is unclear on the rules. Now, i have my own questions about it, i don't spend too much money and now i won't even bother in doing so, but, how exactly will the top tier brackets work? and what gets you promoted/demoted? its unclear and they didn't bother to explain anywhere.
I am in Master Rewards tier, VIP 15. Also, VIP 16 is in master level rewards tier. 1st is 120 gold coins, 2nd is 90, and 3rd is 70. I already do NOT like the fact that we can't get squad skin vouchers for ranking. I think the squad skin vouchers should be its own reward.. but the devs realized when they released that fking dragon skin that ALOT of people will drop BIG money for a g*d dam* skin!! I'm pissed about it. I expect this to hurt the game in some ways by discouraging FTP and low spenders.
@@Mrbrain600 Yea, 2nd place 1 time sounds simple, but in this division. It will require 7-8k hammers. It's already at 6k for first place with 24 hours left.. lol I don't spend that kind of money.

I'm down in Silver 1. Down here first place only gets 12 Gold Ammocoins, with the 11-20th getting only 1 Gold Ammocoin. The ranking goes down to 150 for 100 gems, 8hrs of training speedup and 5 blue resource bags. Pretty disappointing down here. We can't even spend gold Ammocoins until we get to Gold 1. At least our division isn't misspelled I guess...

the biggest spenders wont be in your tier though. it has them situation in the master and overlord division away from everyone else.
Just plsy and pickup what carbon you can. 8 have spent 13 hammera and picked up two pieces of carbon.

So I am VIP 10 and only in the silver division. Does that mean I can't buy a squad skin no matter how many hammers I use?

My guess is that higher placement in one tier earns rank to go up while lack of placement brings you down.

In order to get the 10 skins vouchers you need then you only need 2nd place once. Or is my math incorrect. 8 ammo coins per voucher on my screen.
And yeah I believe the overlord tier is limited to those who earn it from doing well in masters. I’ve yet to see someone in it

This is not linked to your VIP level. I am in the Master class with DHX_Safeme, and I guarantee he is a higher VIP level than I am.
the beginning is as your vip level determines the initial points they give you and its likely Master is the highest you can go the first time around.
800 coins for a skin? Or am I seeing something wrong? It means coming first in at least 14 event at platinum... It's crazy expensive
