- This video, is for toby and his family. When i heard that he passed away. It brought a lose to my heart. Toby was the BEST DAMN AMERICAN YOU COULD BE. Many soldiers, veterans, military families got through the tuff times because of him and his song writing, and his consistant support.

(correction to the current video, Toby Keiths mother is still alive, i do apologize. I spent hrs, from the time that he passed away doing research to get to the main point about the video. Was to thank his family, and to show the world how much vets loved him for how he supported them. i think the video says it all. I was blessed to meet and talk with Toby Keith in 2008 in Bagram, Afghanistan while serving with the 101st ABN STB. It was truly an honor to meet him. I have always loved his music and the support he gave us was so immense. We truly all lost a brother in arms here. He was there with us providing us morale boosts when we needed it and the battle cry of so many of us after 9/11 "Red, White, and Blue". You gave it your all brother now its time to rest thank you so much.
I am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful man! My heart is broken as he was such an amazing singer and down to earth guy! RIP Toby, you will be missed! Prayers to his family! 😢🙏🙏💔💔

My father guarded the Navajo Code Talkers on Iwo Jima as a Marine in WWII. I know it stayed with him forever and wish he had been around long enough to be uplifted by Toby Keith, whose Humanity touched so many.

i was gonna play taps, but i dont think it would be prudent. i thought about it long and hard too. but i think it would be a slap in the face to men and women from generations ago. that right is only for us. i dont think it would honor what toby strived for in supporting us. i think it would of been a step back. so i didnt do it based on that reason. i think he should get soldiers attend his rights, i think he deserved something for his service to us. but careful to what, is the key. cause some rights we carry as soldier/vets is honors. men have done great deeds in the past that warrents there service to veterans and soldiers. then i think about all the soldiers that died to get us here. cant give that to toby even though it wouldnt be frowned on by this generation. i think he was s soldier in heart and spirit. But that would dishonor the ones before us. i dont think toby himself would want that. he had high restpect for service members. @@turtle19dad
Bob Hope was buried with full military honors. He went into combat areas just like Toby. He gave us a little slice of home. I just hope something was done for him. Only Toby and Robin Williams deserved military honors as much as they loved us troops. Dude it still hurts. Only way I know how to deal with his loss is to jam his playlist!!!! I was on the ship when I heard, I bawled my eyes out, thought of my dad and unk who served un WWII, I'm fortunate to have my family still alive in the AF, Col, MSS, Maj, Brig Gen......all alive, so I went out on the bow, and to Toby....I blow you a kiss, in the evening breeze, to the heavens where you'll be, but after the kiss, a tear comes next, that falls into the sea......You're with our maker, you know how much you'll be missed, until generations go by, and they'll never understand your worth to our country. As a veteran, I didn't get to see perform live because I already left the service. I'm thankful for what he's done for my brothers and sisters who served after me. He will be truly missed. Thanks to his family for sharing him with us. Praying for the family. RIP TOBY.

His passing never entered my mind. I knew he had stomach cancer but prayed he’d be healed. It is still so shocking. When he comes to mind my heart literally aches. Bigger than life, as he seemed to me. I didn’t listen to country until the early 2000s, and Toby’s videos were the best. I’m heartbroken beyond measure.

Wonderful sentiments to a great guy, the soft music accompaniment just needed toning down a shade more. It was just sad to see so many talentless individuals getting Grammys and Toby for all his great music getting zero which is a travesty, but I guess that may or should change now.

I just started to play the video but had to stop immediately when the 1st frame appeared, showing his mother and the dates "Jun 15th 1941 ~ Dec 26th 2007".
I'm not sure what happened on 26 Dec 2007, but his mother did NOT die.... she is very much still with us!!!!
