    Thank you for doing this video! It's so important to remember that working in the kitchen is a holy thing.
    We should not make it stressful 😔
    I love that you keep it real 😊"I was waiting for the kitchen to be clean,but it's not going to happen". Literally me.

    I love that you did a kitchen video!!!
    Not being raised kosher, and not being super observant people, I’ve really been feeling my way with the kosher-style lunches, and learning from kind generous patient friends like you! I know that kashrut can be elevated way beyond what our little family does! I was relieved when I visited my husband’s more observant family back east (who also have a dairy side and a meat side of their fancy DC kitchen) that it wasn’t actually so complicated. They were very organized like you!
    Thank you always for sharing so much from your beautiful real life! We love you and we love seeing how you do things, because you’re just an amazing mom, Chana! Wishing you well! M

      There is so so much more to say about a kosher kitchen, but I was good and kept it as short as I could, lol. Main thing to just feel good about what you are doing and that Hashem is always super happy with you! Your lunches are WONDERFUL and my kids have been eating healthier than ever since I started watching your channel (true story). You are so kind, thank you!! What you see in others, you yourself are!!! Much love always to you and your precious family!!

    Thank you for this encouraging video! I'm trying to keep kosher in a non-kosher kitchen, and it can feel overwhelming! Taking little steps and learning like this really helps.

    Hi Chana. I love your videos. Could please do one sometime about cleaning lettuce, veggies, fruit, etc? I want to make sure that I am doing it correctly. Thank you so much.💞

      Hi, thanks for the suggestion, and we must have connected energies because I'm vlogging this week about suppers I make for my family so I'll make sure to include that!!! In the meantime, I use the CRC website which explains more about what needs to be checked and how to do that.... www.crcweb.org/checking%20_for_insects.php

    Chana, is it possible to write the names of the books and authors for me? If you happened to have a link, that would be rad!
    Also, definitely appreciate this video!! How do you go about teaching your kids to put things in the place? Or what do you do to help them learn when they do the wrong thing? Would also love to get an idea of what you guys eat in a week.

    Hello, I noticed your channel from My Jewish Mommy Life. I am so glad it’s like the way you described. That you work hard to follow the steps and sometimes you can fix a mistake and it’s not the end of the world that everyone is capable of it happening at some point. That you just do better moving forward. I’m not jewish. But I had this erroneous assumption in my mind that you always had to basically toss every thing and remember the mistake on the day of atonement. Hearing someone keeping kosher on a video was easier to understand that just reading an article about it. Reading about it sounded stressful but I feel it’s not really like that after hearing you talk about it. It’s great your husband can build things and you can draw.

      Thank you for commenting, because you raise an important misconception about Judaism and Yom Kippur. G-d is a good G-d, and we are not focused on sin, but on connecting to G-d. The day of atonement (aka Yom Kippur) is NOT a day to think about sins and where we did wrong. The Talmud states clearly that there is no happier day on the Jewish calendar than Yom Kippur!! This was on my list of videos to make, about Yom Kippur being the happiest day and why, and I hope to have that out soon. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask! Many blessings, -Chana :)

    Thank you! What's the difference between Glatt Kosher and regular U or K?

    • @JewishEducationatHome
      @JewishEducationatHome  3 роки тому +2

      Glatt kosher means an animal’s lungs are checked closely for holes or sickness. Regular OU or K is a kosher symbol that basically tells you whatever is inside the package is kosher.

    I am vegetarian. Can I consider my kitchen kosher?

    • @JewishEducationatHome
      @JewishEducationatHome  2 роки тому

      It wouldn’t be kosher, but is a step because you aren’t mixing any meat with dairy! I started off by being vegetarian! 😊

    A kitchen that is video-ready is a kitchen that is not the heart of the home.
