It sounds very sad and melancholy as if it were sad and for me it scares me but it also makes me nostalgic but I don't think I could sleep with this song at night 😅
For me, I picture Jesus dying on the cross, and how the whole world stood still that day as he took on the sin of the world. And him eventually rising on the third day.
Thee Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orchestra is a post-rock band formed in Montreal in 1999. It’s comprised mostly of members of another, slightly more well-known, post-rock band called Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and is often considered to be a “side-project” of sorts. Regardless, this album, titled “He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms…” was made as memorial to Efrim Menuck’s (who essentially fronts both bands) dog. So no, this is not a song that samples a meowing cat, and no one died after this was released. The dog’s name was Wanda, hence why the last song on the tracklist is named “For Wanda”. The only mention of a cat I could find that wasn’t people arguing over this was from a nine year old Reddit comment from a deleted account. The comment reads: “True story. About five years ago my cat died. I was getting into GY!BE and wanted to check out some SMZ, I read that this album was a tribute to Efrim's recently deceased dog, so I thought I'd give it a listen. I stopped at the half way point to go to sleep, but something must have tripped my computer, because I woke up in the middle of the night, in a pitch black room, to the sound of a cat. Only it wasn't a cat, it was a chorus of cats, slowly getting louder. It was safe to say, in my not fully conscious state, that I thought I was going insane by the time the violins picked up. Once I identified the source of the noise I turned it off and regained my composure, but the track name always stood out to me.” Hope this can clear things up
For some reason i like feeling like this Depressed, miserable, dead, gloomy and drained idk the science behind it i hate the feeling but at the same time i like it. for me my way of peace is listening to depressed music and just being alone with my negative thoughts that ruin my life decisions.
It's so odd how it unnerved me the first time listening to this piece, but it's oddly comforting? Like it's protective, light, almost compassionate in the most profoundly eerie way imaginable; surrounding you in the most inescapable, untouchable embrace that one can't comprehend due to its massive otherworldly presence captured in the strangest of sounds/frequencies.
“My power’s really low, so this may be the last image I can send. Don’t worry about me though: my time here has been both productive and serene. If I can keep talking to my mission team, I will - but I’ll be signing off here soon. Thanks for staying with me…” For context, that’s the last thing the InSight Mars rover sent before powering down due do its a storm causing it’s solar panels to be covered by dust.
One day I will melt into the crystal sea, awaiting the day of resurrection. When the God in Shamayim comes down to kill he who is called the devil and satan, and there will be no more crying or tears or suffering, for he has bit His heal, yet He has crushed his head. Theosis, beautiful theosis.
I'm not on tiktok anymore, but I think it's because of videos saying it's a cat dying that you hear.. I've seen something like that anyway. It's not the case tho 😅
The backstory to this is a owner recorded his cat dying and after the video ended the cat passed away then 2 days later the owner died and the owners sister posted it witch this is the real backstory so don't
@@existenceispain_geekthesiren this is what I was about to say, that cat dying thing is complete total bs. This is a song made by a band called Thee Silver Mt Zion Orchestra Memorial or just Silver Mt Zion.
That sounds is not actually supposed to be scary so someones cat died and the owner made that sound of their cat meowing then posted it but then People started making scary videos with that sound
People say that this song is “creepy” but I think it’s beautiful (in a sad way) above anything else, this is definitely one of my favorite songs

The gif fits in perfectly, makes it even more depressing
I agree. I'm certain those roses come from an anime called Memories -- toward the end of the first episode. Would recommend.
This song gives me a depiction of what the earth was like when it was first created and everything was so pure and new
For me, I picture Jesus dying on the cross, and how the whole world stood still that day as he took on the sin of the world. And him eventually rising on the third day.
"Fear not..."

be the light in the darkness for it's all we have don't let a dark past ruin a bright future ❤ 😘
It was sampled by a musician who was on tour when his Dog passed away....this is the depression he went through losing his beloved dog 💔 xx

The song always reminds me of my cat's death.
Whenever I hear this song, I always feel the difference of positive and negative of my cat's doomsday.
Ghost song
Godspeed
Let me take the day off boss.
I think the song is creepy but peaceful at the same time
.5 speed seems to fit this song perfectly imo. Especially while sleeping. The slow down just screams lucid dreaming
Sadly UA-cam's speed control thingy isn't that amazing :/
This song makes me question what it’s like on the other side of the doorway to death and what it feels like, I don’t know why,
I'll be using this in a video im making. It will complete the whole video as an ending piece. Such a simple edit but such a necessary one.
Let me know when it's out 👍

Where are these flowers from?
This cat who is meowing died after recording the audio by the owner...this gives me chills everytime I hear this....😔
This isn’t a Angel, is a cat suffering in pain, which has died crying
this seems very specific, don't you think?
you know that's a myth? It's not a cat dying, that's just a tiktok dramatization. It's just a weird synth.
