Awesome place, looks beautiful and productive!! Im sure there aren't many lakes you havent fished in SK but it would be cool to see you break down a lake you have never fished. Invite Tom or Jay or let Carter show you how its done😂
Awesome video!! Would it be possible to do a video on your boat setup? I see you move your graphs around a lot and also interested in the mount you use for LiveScope.
Is there a trick to casting these? Every time I cast the search bait the hook gets caught up on the line. I'm using the slow death hook. I haven't tried the straight hook yet. I hope that fixes the issue. I bought 10 of these primarily for casting. Please let me know if there is a trick to cast them and not get the hook fouled up on the line.
"good to eat" ? Tell you what; go catch a bunch of them and release them to me... 😄 To me, Walleye and perch are the best. Although, "to each its own"....
Agreed on how you think you're on bottom. Surprised when I first got it, even now I think I'm down there and it's like 5 feet off bottom :/ Now I just upsize the jig and that helps.
That lure will hang up every time with the hook looping up over your line. Just drop it straight down and the weight will pass the hook and the hook loops over the line like it was designed that way. That said with practice you have a clean retrieve if you start your retrieve immediately to keep the hook behind your lure. I personally think they should be reworked.
Do the pike in the winter The taste of Pike sucks in the warm summer water But in the winter I’ll have them over walleye Oh don’t get me wrong I’m not ever throwing a wallet back but……….
Nothing new here, these have been around forever with the Erie Dearie. WNC has had the “Death Jig” for years as well. Addicted Fishing has a Mustad “Walleye Jig” version on the market for a few years now and they are in Cabela’s and Bass Pro here in Canada for 6$ and not 12$ lol
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors a comparison video of them would be cool to see. These will end up in my boat when I see them at the shop. I like that they are tungsten. The price point puts me off a bit, but I have bought worse for more lol
Do you edit out the small fish catches? So jealous of your fishing destinations, quality fish! Here lots of fish but low size, its gotten better the last say 10years with a slot limit but still not great or what it could be. Primarily fishing the Wisconsin River many more hungry fisherman in the states I'm assuming is the cause.
Remember when fishing was just....fishing. Does anyone believe that we have taken this just a bit too far with the electronics and rigging? Genuinely asking.
With all the electronics out there it has definitely tipped the scales in our favour. I enjoy heading out in the canoe, or in my waders and just casting lures around, I'm out there most of the time to enjoy nature and the fish come as a bonus. Fishing is supposed to be stress free if you ask me and that's how I like to do it.
Awesome to see new lures in action! 👍🎣
I joined your channel this winter and as an avid ice fisherman loved the content but am so looking forward to your summer videos....thank you Clayton
Great video Clayton! You showed me a trick I didn’t think of using the Tickle shad instead of a worm. The best walleye content!
Weight forward has slayed many walleye over the years. For early thru late summer.
Thats awesome! I will have to give it a try

7:20. So THATS how jay gets them perfect shots of walleyes! 😂
😅
Cool to see a new bait in action. A nice change of scenery, too 🍻
Coffee and Clayton in the morning! Thanks for sharing the adventure
Nice video, I couldn't find that acme lure on the website though
I like the look of that new bait. We'll def be trying it!!
Al lender is the goat of fishing Hall of Fame
Thanks for the entertainment and info Clayton
Thank you for watching and the kind words!
Awesome video!! Would it be possible to do a video on your boat setup? I see you move your graphs around a lot and also interested in the mount you use for LiveScope.
Yes!! Before Mid July I will have a full boat walk through video :)
Looks like a Erie dearie 😮 we used them on lake Erie back in the 1980s definitely not a new bait 😮😮😮

very good video, Thnks
What would you recommend for a walleye setup
Are walleye any good to eat? Or is it more of a catch and release type fish?
"good to eat" ? Tell you what; go catch a bunch of them and release them to me... 😄
To me, Walleye and perch are the best. Although, "to each its own"....
Very good!
Delicious 😋🐟🐟🐟👍
Possibly the best there is
Al lenders whole walleye just like that that's where you got it from how to hold walleyes without them flopping around
Awesome video! What Livescope arm/ mount is that? Looking at a few different options on the market. Thanks in advance!
Arc Lab Motor Sport setup. Best one I have seen!
Awesome video Clayton!! Can’t wait to try it myself!! Looks deadly!!
Letting a big pike hit and walleye is either 50/50 to actually catch that pike! Ive had a few lines snap
Just what I needed after a long weekend of crushing Manitoba Musky. Your the man Clay!
Nasty boy w that pike!
subtle jab at humminbird mega live hahaha thats what they get! great vid as always
Speaking of Target Walleye, I'd like to see you fish the Jigging Shadow Rap😎
Been watching you for years by far my favorite on UA-cam just wondering why no muskie videos id love to see a few of them

What settings do you run on your live image in the video?
It honestly changes for every lake.
Looks like you’ve come to your senses and got a garmin livescope unit. Good on ya
Yup!! Way happier
A suggestion, when showing a lure, maybe drop it in the water and get some video of how it swims. Just a thought.
Couldn't you replace j with treble and bounce it on bottom???
Nice

i see you changed your livescope color. how do you like the amber compared to the blue red yellow?
Wanted to play with it for a bit and so far I really like it.
Just an improved version of the "Erie Dearie"
HEY! Hello Clayton and thumbs UP!
Hey clatyon have you ever fished northern BC?
Great vid Clayton! Have you ever fished lakes in Northern sask around Meadow lake? Such as waterhen, turtle, Keeley etc?
Yes, just been a lot of years since I have fished some of those.
How do you compare those to the WNC?
Dang it Clay I have stuff to do. Doing of stuff delayed...😂
Hey man! That lure looks like it'd smash walleye here. Wish I could use nightcrawlers but can't. Damn gobies annihilate em
"DEADLY'
Fun video! KC Don 😉
Dude, you could use a wooden clothespin and still catch fish, who you kidding!!😂
i miss the vlogs 🙏
Trying :)
What transducer do you use for your live imaging?
Probably Lvs 34, or Lvs 32
Can you do a pike catch, clean ,and cook episode? Would love to see one of those.
Sure can!!
I second this request!
That’s why you’re awesome Clayton, I definitely want to see that video as well

@@ajmeier01 I fish a lot of cold water pike where they are good all year :)

It's definitely a Erie dearie 👍🐟🐟
Yep it's a Erie dearie used them in the 1980s on lake Erie they catch 🐟 fish

Sometimes I edit out the smaller fish, but on this video everything I caught was in the video.
What’s your walleye rod
I think I talked about it but Elliot 6'9" ML :)
Way to go "Clay Chick "
Huh. Looks very similar in concept to the Erie Dearie
Never used that bait ever... BUT I have heard that a few times now...
What braid do you use?
Sufix G-core
What live scope model do u have the lvs32 or 34?
This was with the lvs 34
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors the 34 seems to be a lot better in shallow water then the 32 imo
@@owennagel7670 I have been happy with it, takes a little more to dial in, but when it is setup right it is so good!
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors might have to make the upgrade
If Clay and Tom endorse it, I’m getting some for the box !
they getting paid for that my man
You are the Tom Boley of the north. lol.
but better!and no dogs on the boat
You got more money than I do
Is this the same one Tom B was fishing with yesterday?
Could have been? I didn’t see it yet. :)
Tom Boley beat you to it, he just posted a video on this yesterday 😝
Hah!! I see that now.
Where is that
This is more in Northern Canada. I can't say where as I have just found this area and don't know what it can really handle.
Do you ever come fish rafferty damn
I have yet to fish it
Too bad the lure is $12. Kalin's is definitely going to have to keep up it's advertising campaign if they want people to buy at that price.
❤️👊💪🎣
Tell us where you are fishing!!!
Don’t have too. Can’t do that every video sorry
tom boley caught them with plastic.....gulp crawler would work awesome.....short and fat😂😳
Yup. Something like that would work great.
Have you ever left one of those gulp baits on your hook and it dried out? You need a jack hammer to get the thing off😂😂
@@Intimidator82 yes....but I only use the 1 inchers to slaughter giant gills😊
First like!!!
I would love to see a bare bones episode. Back to the basics. No tech! Maybe an old Eagle or something. Could be fun.
hmmmm I have fished from shore a little, but I have worked hard for all the gear and it makes me learn more about the fish every time I go out.
Are the people advertising this not allowed to say Erie Dearie or something?
Sorry. Until now I’ve actually never heard of that lure. Weird I know
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors no need to apologize, just noticed yourself and Tom Boley fishing with it and not mention the similarity.

Blah blah blah.
Trolling them on mud flats👌🏽🤌🏽
Yup! That bait would smash them there!
