In the winter of 82 or 83 me and my room mate rode our bikes to see Dokken at a small club in Palo Alto, CA. Prime voice, hair, attitude. It was a cold ride back to the dorm but we were still buzzing from an awesome concert. Great White a few weeks later too. The 80s were awesome!
Always love how Don breaks out into a poem when performing Too High To Fly live. I'm one of the few that knows what happened to him and still love him live. New album, old albums and even the Lost Album. Rokken With Dokken for life.
This is so sad! One of my favorite bands from the 80’s but it’s clear Don just can’t do it and he’s just hurting himself and his legacy at this point! Doubt he needs the money, so this is either love of what he does or the love of relevancy even in a smaller level now. The band did amazing though.
Mass respect to Jon Levin, heck he has been in the Dokken band way longer than George.. Ha. Don's vocals have been long gone for a long time. It;s time to call it. Don, Don't mis represent Dokken music to the next generation!! If and when they see this last stab at the stage and crowd high you get from being the front man. Retire in the glory and thief you are Don by never paying your band mates any where near an equal amount for being in the mighty Dokken....
Don isn't in his top form, his right hand has been paralyzed for years, he went through stomach cancer and broken foot, but as long as he has a will to carry on, good for him. He has a great band around him, people still attend the shows and can have some good time listening to classic tunes.
So sad to see and hear this. Don, please retire and let your legacy represent the music... not this. The band sounds great, but the vocals are awful. I would rather pay to see a tribute band.
There is a youtube video out there showing an xray of his back. It is horrible and the doctor screwed up. He can barely walk and is in massive pain. He has many other health problems including a broken foot. He gave it 100%. His band is awesome. Glad I went. 1 hour and 15 min show.
Sad part is not only Don struggling but the band sounds badass! Too bad he isn't even a shell of himself anymore. He was one of the top 5 singers in hard rock for about 20 years. he's not just old. Something has happened to him health wise. I wonder if he has had a stroke.
He had had an operation AND a was butchered, literaly he Is in pain all the Time AND got one of His vocal chord paralized, so, besides His range u cant sing with one v chord trying to do everything, that s why he lost His mid range AND only sing low, u need both to even make son middle tone AND vibratos, so , no it wasnt a stroke, it was medical negligence
Don please hang it up. This is not even Dokken anyway. Dokken is with George, Jeff and Wild Mick. Please retire. Thanks for the 80s memories but this is not it.
Dokken Is don dokken, the "clásic" lineup was just that, a line UP, but dokken every musician that have played in the band including norum, beach AND every bass player
If ur that depressed , go watch something else.Old age sucks but at least he's trying the best he can at his age for the fans.I saw him years ago in his prime and his voice back then was amazing.
@@PlayitagainVHS Thanks for the advice Dad. I can feel sorry for the guy because it's obvious he is struggling and seeing anyone struggle is indeed depressing. I saw him too in his prime, back in the 80s so you are not exactly breathing rarified air in that regard.
The band sounds amazing!! This is really painful to watch, Don was one of the best rock vocalist in the 80’s. You have to give him credit for the effort but at this point his health is really not good!!
Seeing him tomorrow night. I don't even care he's not the same. It's still Don Dokken and I'm going to love the show.
Once upon a time one of the best vocalists in the game😢
Yep
True ! When he was younger ,he was awesome. What a voice he had.Its still nice to see him outhere rockin.God Bless him.❤
tragic. glad i grew up in the 80's and got to see him in his prime.
That's awesome. I never got a chance. It just never worked out with their shows and work. Now I can, but it's just not worth it
Me 2 !!!!

The band killed it.
A self destruction blues.
The Ghost of Don Dokken’s future. At least George Lynch is still doing his thing
It's painful and just makes me sad. Aging sucks.
Don. Stop.

I wish i saw them back in the day. I still love all the songs though.

Wow that is bad. I saw Dokken about 10 times in the 80s and 90s and they were great.
Back then Dokken was great ! He's old now.I give him credit for trying
Please, retire with dignity!!!!!!
Dang that was fast. I just got home from the show.
I'm fast like that 😊
I don't normally believe in lip syncing but in this case I think he should. Lol
Instrumental music is great. Don has a great band.
Thanks for posting as I was unable to go. Levin and band sounding great; Don not so much but the dude has had some bad breaks.
Can't way to see him with my son tomorrow night!
Saw them back in 1984 when they opened for Dio. Anchorage, AK.
So sad to see and hear this. Don, please retire and let your legacy represent the music... not this. The band sounds great, but the vocals are awful. I would rather pay to see a tribute band.

Continuation of activities is good, but this is not enough.
Don Dokken himself should take the plunge and go behind the scenes and put in new vocals.

love dokken, but i think don is going down insurance skam path.
Don please hang it up. This is not even Dokken anyway. Dokken is with George, Jeff and Wild Mick. Please retire. Thanks for the 80s memories but this is not it.

Don remains me the last concerts of Jack Russell's Great White 😪
I don’t understand how a band can backup someone like that. He can barely walk/stand. It’s absolutely pitiful. Ppl need to know when to stop.
They support him because they aré His friends Not just His band, AND they respect that don Will stop whenever he wants
He does it for the dokken fans and for his love ❤️ for his band.
Don drinks alcohol on stage. It seems to me that he is drunk. I liked the concert, but his voice is tired. But his timbre is excellent.
damn, he walks and sings like me
Now THATS a real guitar player. !! Lynch is so damn washed up ..when he tries to sit in with dokken, he simply cannot do it anymore
This is incredibly depressing. The man needs to know when to say "when."
If ur that depressed , go watch something else.Old age sucks but at least he's trying the best he can at his age for the fans.I saw him years ago in his prime and his voice back then was amazing.

How is this even Dokken, whom the fuck is that on guitar? I have played here, it's sad, MSG to this (I get it's a nice club but not MSG)
Just wow! Don looked sauced right off the bat and sounded horrible.
Maybe sauced, but to be fair he has had health issues, serious issues. He🤩 hasn't gave up. He deserves respect for that, and the music he gave us!!
A little bit more, than a end of the road concert...😱💦
Geez More I watch, I'm like What?
Come on Don.
The music is great. But Don's singing is disastrous
Dokken ain't rockin no more and its only a memory now . 😢
The band is still rockin .Dons old , what do you expect It's not 1985 anymore. Its almost 2025.Wait till you get to be his age.
Vocals are off bad
Poor dude
Wow. He is totally done. Dokken always sucked with that weak falsetto delivery but this is terrible. No pride, just payroll.
The band sounds amazing!! This is really painful to watch, Don was one of the best rock vocalist in the 80’s. You have to give him credit for the effort but at this point his health is really not good!!
The band is very good. But Don is disastrous
