- What happens to us after we die? Can love transcend physical death? Are time and space mere illusions? Existential and philosophical questions are at the heart of the music produced by Lord Huron, an indie band based in Los Angeles. Fans have given them the nickname of "Cosmic Cowboys" due to the nature of the subjects addressed in their songs and albums. Ghost - both literal and figurative - make frequent appearances in their lyrics, along with ancient legends, malevolent spirits, cosmological lore, and a smattering of broken hearts and lost loves. Ben Schneider, the founder of the Lord Huron, is also its lead singer and principal songwriter. Schneider grew up in the shadow of the Great Lakes where he absorbed much of the rich history of the region and the Native Americans who've lived there for centuries. His music combines elements of folk, rock, country, punk, Asian, and even surf influences. The sound is lush and multi-layered, and the songs address complicated ideas not usually found in popular music. Music critics have struggled to find a specific niche for Lord Huron, but the fan base has no such problem. In this episode. Jeremy and George ask Ben Schneider about the inspiration for his songs, pay a visit to the hidden Whispering Pines recording studio, and share video clips from Lord Huron concerts, including the current tour.

As I have said elsewhere, if the Aurora Borealis was a band on the radio, it would sound like Lord Huron. Absolutely agree with George, it is ethereal, timeless. And fits like a velvet glove with C2C topics.

May I suggest you place a subtitle ( Weponized - celebrity for example) for those of us who absolutely no clue who these famous ( in America ?) people are. I discovered Lord Huron from Turner Classic Movies Remembers. His haunting song "When the Night is Over" was chosen for the 2018 TCM Remembers. (I think it was 2018) It's such s haunting song and the TCM video was beautiful.

TCM Remembers always manages to pick very good songs for their video of actors/actresses who died in the course of the year, including those people connected to the film industry who also died. The song chosen plus the screen shots always leave me broken up 😩
@@AngelBaby-cp6kf I only recently got into classic movies, and it’s so sad how often we are losing talent from the golden era of Hollywood- most of them are gone. I didn’t see Gone with the Wind until two years ago, for example. LH is just the right sort of melancholy and yearning vibe.

Im a fan of weaponized but at this point it seems Jeremy is just interviewing his buddies about there life.
I agree with a previous comment that stated he should separate his podcast of UFO & celebrity interviews.
This is what happens when someone doesn’t wanna just make a separate channel for the pod but instead he uploads on his personal channel which was the first mistake. This has potential to be even bigger than Jeremy’s docs cause I’ve seen them and they’re not too great but I think George keep him at bay. Idk why he still uploads these on this channel, seems like he needs everyone to know it’s his and has a damn selfie as a pfp like it’s Facebook or something. He should either rebrand the channel and make another personal one or rebuild on a whole new one but I think the first option would be better so he doesn’t lose the sub count

Are you guys looking into the recent 911 call here in Las Vegas? A family claims something crashed in their backyard and that they saw people who didn’t look human.
Would love to see somebody get over to their backyard and do some analysis before this is shut down . Unless of course they are lying. They definitely seem to believe that they saw something. Interesting times.

This is so far off the overall topic of this channel. I feel like I waited a week with high hopes that yall would have addressed the "whistle blowers" public interview. This was a huge letdown, and it's definitely not the first time they have blatantly dropped the ball.

i had one in my own garden. i posted this om cnn comments. i had a crazy experience here in england uk back in 2010 at 1.30 am on a farm i was living in. a huge silent golden orb treetop hight made a b line for me at about 5 mile an hour over the field next to the farmhouse. i was scared out of my mind. the thing just kept coming at me. my kids were in the front room downstairs. the thing came right into my garden. i was looking right into it. it was like looking into the sun. it light up the fields as it moved. was really freaky. i ended up hiding from it. i was so scared i could not tell my family. i knew if i told them they would be scared too. a few years later i reported it to mufon who called me. then a few more years went by and my son told me he used to wake up at 4am to a strange wobbing humming sound over the house. freaked me out even more. i really need to know what the hell that was
