sadly miguel's quality
guitaring is all but
drowned out by this
raucous bunch
of stage stompers...
i guess the
important thing is
that it pays the bills...
but he's such a fine
solo artist and it's
a crying shame that
he's not playing
his guitar in say a
conservatoire to
an educated and
appreciative audience
somewhere more
hallowed...he trained
in jazz guitar at a
prestigious college in
rome and yet i can
only remember
hearing him play one
jazz track...stood in
a field somewhere...
back in his aztec
empire days...
there's a whole depth
of talent in his
repertoire that i'm
sure we'll never see...
which is a shame...
i still often listen to
the recording i made
at miguel's gig with
the band available
jones...about four
years ago now...it's
like having my own
private concert
exclusively on
demand...and he
plays some bad com-
pany!!...artists should
try to get patrons to
commission work
from them...like they
did in the old days...
you want me to do a
video of me playing
xyz?...then cross my
palm with xyz amount
of silver and i'll
happily oblige you!!...
hey it just might work.
