- I LOVE THIS MAP SOSO MUCH and when I found out the thumbnail contest was ending this sunday I spent the whole weekend drawing. 22 HOURS GUYS. IN 48 HOURS.
I think the hardest parts were coming up with a good concept and figuring out the shading at the end (ty galaxymew and fef for helping me again!), everything else I just had such a fun time doing, would have wanted to take more breaks though 🥲
But I also have a part in this map! Which will hopefully be done next month, really excited!! Oh also about the music ahahah it was a suggestion from a friend I have nothing to do with it! Feel like it fits so well with Boons character, mighty and all, and I didnt just wanna do the map song.
This was mostly done with Procreate, but I switched to clip studio paint for lineart cus they got them vector layers babeyy and then back up to procreate. And yea! About 22 hours, 17 h 42 m in Procreate and then around 4 h in csp, how fun! 😀 I'm definitely going to work on my workflow and how fast I produce art once I get to art school

This has such a fairy tale look to it, or like a movie poster you’d see when you were a kid. Absolutely love the shading and boon in your art style, I hope to see this as the final thumbnail!

Hey thank you so much!! Im glad you enjoyed my thumbnailing process as well, I was stuck for an hour deciding what to do cause I felt it had to be perfect :')
Regarding the blue lighting! That is achieved by 7 different layers of blue, white and a little orange because of the text light. I think I spent around 40 minutes just figuring out how to incorporate the blue without having it look weird when there was so much light on the other side, and Im satisfied for now! But in the future I'll study more and figure it out properly >:)
