  • Twenty years ago this week, Utah and the entire nation breathed a sigh of relief when Elizabeth Smart was found in a Sandy neighborhood nine months after being abducted from her Salt Lake City home. Smart is now 35 years old, a wife, mother of 3, and a survivor.
"I have a wonderful life and there’s every reason to believe that like there is nothing quite as resilient I think in this whole world as the human spirit," said Smart this week.

Her father was a warrior for his daughter's return. I recall being so surprised she had been found alive. Amazing story with a wonderful happy ending.

I remember exactly where I was when the news came across the radio. I didn't realize how emotionally invested into this until that moment

She's very strong to be able to come out and tell her story. Not many victims do

I'll never forget being on the search team. My friend Dan Zaugg and I broke off from the search team and started to go up Dry Gulch and the South Fork trail but we were stopped from going up the trail by other investigators.
If only they hadn't stopped us perhaps we could have found Elizabeth Smart earlier than later.

Wonder why they stopped you from looking. Sometimes they find people in an area already previously searched. They just found a woman's remains in Vero beach Florida. The area was thoroughly searched when she went missing 5 years ago

Without intending to sound reductive or superficial, she looks absolutely stunning and rejuvenated as a redhead. Truly, a fiery phoenix rising from the ashes!

The back ground music is horrible, It is difficult to listen to her story. 🙄

Of course they got to have the background music to get your emotions going so that you buy into this psyop.

Mormons are a very industrious group of people. They are extremely helpful to their own Mormon Community.

35?!.. man, that seems like it happened yesterday. ✋️ Stop. Please stop. There's plenty of other cases all around the country. Being Mormon does not set you apart
