I used to have a fascination by prodigies and child-geniuses, specially triggered by them, until I came across this quote "A remarkable child is extraordinary until someone else catches up. They will not stay ahead forever." After asking myself countless times, why is this standard being set up? The after taste this type of situations leave on people is, "If a 7 year old did it, why can't I do it?". Why should people be pressured onto believing that, if by their 6th birthday, they don't know how to build a fucking neural network, they have failed and become shameful? Then, that's where my question to, when and why 'the need to stand out'? was even conceived, still ruminating on it.
I think it depends on the angle you want to approach it from
There's absolutely a psychological aspect where we just have the need to feel unique in some capacity
And when everyone wants the same thing it becomes a cultural value
Everyone wants to be rich, strong, smart etc etc
The second aspect is more utility based I think, there's always a place in the world for exceptional people it gives you security and a strong sense of identity, well until you get too comfortable and people catch up with you at least
@ItsOneManStudios I totally agree with you. Our success has been seen as a direct measure of our personal worth. We have to distinguish ourselves from others in order to survive: secure a job, an opportunity, a raize. We have a competitive nature, it's basic to our survival instincts.
Tru, nice to have the other side in my feed too, ima try to balance things out then
I'm not any kind of entrepreneur, im a lazy fuck but I'm gonna work on my health (sleep, routine, gym) before even starting to care about money
Altho I will need like 20k to get my flight hours in the future (not from the US so it's not a small amount)
I mean that's definitely a net positive, I don't think the influence itself is bad, but just understanding that it's not the normal
And that there was a price that was paid to reach is all, but maybe I should balance mine out too...
finally hit the algo 🎉
You have no idea how much I'm PRAYING that I indeed hit the Algo dude
It's been 127 videos ☠️
I haven't seen the light in days
I'm inches from being an SCP entry
Very good video, authentic
Very Much do appreciate it dude, just something I've seen while doing this the last 2 years, hope you found it helpful!
