- The 2023 Unlimited Banger Racing season opener at Speedway Emmen was one of the wettest races to date! Still, there were plenty of crashes and cool wrecks. Enjoy the video!
What is Banger Racing?
Banger racing is a tarmac, dirt, shale and chalk track type of motorsport event popular in countries such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands. Old scrap vehicles are raced against one another, with the winner being the first to the checkered flag after a set number of laps. Contact to damage an opponent's car is permitted and encouraged within the formula, with cars progressively becoming more damaged throughout an event. Races are held at an oval or tri-oval circuits that are up to 1⁄4 mile (440 yd; 400 m) long; however, on certain occasions, races are held in a figure of eight configurations. Banger racing is often confused with stock car racing, although there are differences between the two, despite often racing at the same tracks. Banger racing is also often confused with Nascar.

How did the bmw 7 series get on and the volvo two door
Not sure about the bmw, the volvo loaded up quite early on the day as did others due to the rain/mud.
Amazing, rolling demolition derbys, I don't think they'd allow that in America.
Why there's so many Volvo's involved in this? 😝

Just watch the video and youll see which of the two it is. They only water against dust when it's hot.

I’ll be that guy. Pointless driving round in a sludge fest at 10mph. And you need to go back filming on the outside. Inside doing you no favours as you’re missing action and can’t tell what’s coming due to lack of peripheral view. Skipped a lot of the vid. Sorry
Im more than happy to go back filming on the outside when you sponsor me some cameras. Ive got over 2500 euros of cameras with me that i want to last longer than a handfull of races to be fair 🙈 But we got both turns covered as my dad does the other one so most of the action is still caught. There's also plenty of other people on the outside so i think its a nice addition to have a different view from the inside.
