On trips from Porto to Lisbon, I’ve found this railway town looks pretty depressing. But as you’ve shown, there’s always a brighter side if you look closer. Full of old world charm.
Hey Stu! Thank you very much for putting the .99 cent option for the channel membership! We are saving to buy an apartment in Spain and the low monthly cost made it easy to justify becoming a member! Also, I've been wanting to comment for a few days that you aren't sponsored by "Big Oil" , but rather "Big Appetite!" Buen provecho!
Wow! Another great food review. Did they cut the meat off of the T-bone prior to cooking? That is a problem with that cut getting both sides cooked properly. Fun seeing your son, or his left side, in the video. He has grown. Is he as tall as you yet? Thanks for another great video.
There’s a REALLY good restaurant on the seafront of Tocha. So good in fact it’s almost impossible to get a reservation but my cousin managed and we had a lovely meal with her Portuguese family!! I can’t remember the name. I will look it up and let you know.
A little expensive, but looked good! We have our tried and trues and stick to those! We love places that have a menu do dia that includes everything including the starter and a glass of wine. Taberna 22 in Torres Vedras is great M-F and we frequent an Indian resto there too! In and out for less than 30€ for 2. Oh, and we always take half away from the Indian resto and I revamp it for another meal...Now that's value for money!! Love your food reviews...I am a foodie!!
That town is the Portuguese equivalent of Crewe in England, a railway town. It's name is literally 'junction', it is not far from the fabulous city of Tomar, famed for the Knights Templar and the Convent of Christ.
"Batatas a murro" always have the skin on, those are just normal roasted potatoes. Too expensive for most wallets, you can eat the same amount of food and repeat as many times as you like for 12€ a person in Torres Novas (drinks and coffee included).
I like just about every food going but olives are minging, I really want to like them but every time I forget and forgive that rubbery oily olive lets me down ;-[
I've been watching a series on Netflix called 1992. The action takes place in Madrid and Seville. The characters are always cursing and saying bad words. How real is this? Do Spaniards always curse and swear? Best regards, Me cago en la leche!!
Looked very good... loved the idea of the box with appetisers!
I love your Portugal visit Stu! I grew up with a Portuguese family who spoiled me with beautiful Portuguese meals. ❤ Great memories
Looked like a good value to me 10 points for the presentation of the dishes.
Great looking food, Stuart delicious. 😋 👌 😊
Gracias por repartir tus vacaciones en Portugal, me gustó to lo que nos enseñaste. Espero ver más en 2025.
I hope you left your own Google review Stu, what a gem of a place.
Looked like a very good deal. Especially with liquor.

You should see Yorkshire if you think Portugal is depressed
@@michaeljones3774It’s the overwhelming smell of diesel fumes as you pass by.
@@michaeljones3774parts of Yorkshire are totally stunning. Everywhere has their run down areas
@@janethaver3375 Yes especially when one sees the sign for Derbyshire lol

I have to go there!

11:06 'Posso pagar' or 'Gostava de pagar' em Portugal.
Funny, I pass quite often in that street and I've never noticed there's a restaurant there.
What about a couple of videos showing what you would make at home for your 'party trick' dishes. I.e., what's the best Spanish food at Casa Stuart?

I only come here after having lunch. Not before.
I thought the amount of meat was too much for my taste. But overall looked a good meal

Probably the chuleton was a marinade one.
It cuts the color.

How bizarre, a Portuguese Bento Box!

your channel is called Spain Speaks, this is your 2nd Portugal video!.I m not interested , you should move there.
He’s on holiday. Give the man a break!
Your Channel is called Brad Cobb - Yet I see no evidence of crusty cobs or even bradle production!
This kind of comment, you will never listen from a portuguese.
Then go away and don't watch. Bye now 👋
