Seeing Donald actually do Teddy's voice without make-up is hilarious 😂 😂😂
Donald Glover is such a Genius. You can tell from this video alone how hands on he is as as director in the making of Atlanta. This dude’s imagination is off the wall.
Not to be pedantic but Hiro is the director Donald is the showrunner
The origin of Teddy Perkins…🤣🤣. I would love to see the outtakes from this episode😝
I have the link to the behind the scenes of Teddy Perkins....don't look for it on yt go to google
It's a shame Glover was on Community for so many years and wasn't given the chance to collaborate with the show runner, Dan Harmon. They could have made some really creative and original content.
Seriously! I think that is why Donald Glover left the show. He felt that he wasnt truly being utilized on the show.
@@EdertheJust I mean he left because there were bigger callings for his talent it was the right time to go out and explore. He knew the show wasn’t getting the love it deserved and he was just hanging around for it he struck while the iron was hot. No Ill will towards Dan because he wasn’t upset Dan would have done anything to get him to stay but the opportunities had more hands on control; that’s a better offer.
I could'a sworn I've read somewhere that Dan Harmon let Glover write/direct all the post credit scenes especially the troy and abed skits
Zazie just always looks amazing, my mind goes blank when she smiles.
Honestly one of the best episodes of TV ever made. Hilarious and terrifying at the same time.
Crazy that these absurd and surreal moments in the show comes from random and regular conversations😂 it’s beautiful
This entire lineup is gold
He’s right, towards the end Michael was more alien than old white woman. My son was born in 96, he told me he thought Michael was an old white woman when he was little.
Same fucking here Michael Jackson towards the end gave me fucking nightmares I couldn’t look at a picture of him and not cry until I was like 14 years old and I still cringe when I see one it’s a literal jump scare to me man shit is traumatizing RIP tho
@@OgGuak420 he legit was not that scary y’all are just reaching. He had one of the most angelic faces in my opinion.
Arguably my favorite episode
Teddy Perkins was one of the most interesting of the stories
Yo why does teddy perkins sound just like winnie the pooh
Donald Glover inspires me more than any human had on this earth no lie!
Didn’t know who Stephen was but as soon as he laughed I knew they were related
zazie beets is the finest woman alive
they're all SO pretty
I dont like how whatever happens in the previous episodes never even gets brought up again. Lakeith’s character literally almost died and he doesn’t mention it once again.
That episode was on another level 🔥🔥🔥
Can’t believe we can be blessed with a damn near perfect show like Atlanta and white America chooses Euphoria to be their champion. Smh
The acting on Euphoria is incredible and the photography I just dislike the writing and direction of the show. I know what he is saying about Zendaya and he’s right. I’m sure Zendaya knows but she’s being a team player and but she should be looking at beyond.
they’re very different shows though. Both somewhat dark and irreverent but their aims are different. Euphoria’s not flawless but it’s not in the same vein as Atlanta. That being said, Atlanta’s undeniably better of course.
Teddy Perkins scary af
glovers the only dude who can casually say “i was having lunch w ludwig the other day”
Teddy still creeps the fuck outta me till this day. Great character though
Teddy Perkins is one of the episodes of tv that will always be burned into my brain, i dont onow if it's my favourite in the whole show, but it's stuck with me on another level.
donalds storytelling is so good i swear man can still do stand up but he dont wanna 😭😂
donald stil got clean nizzas bro pls another drop
I miss Donald Standup. this short vid had me lmao'ing
Teddy's voice is reminiscent of Donalds Derrick Comedy days.
The way the woman who played domino looks at him.. Danm lol
"Imagine that... running after you" that got me 😭😂
Thumbs up to all the people who respect Michael Jackson 👍
im curious about that episode so i watched it coz some thought it was Michael who played the role in disguise.. i find it interesting but after watching this interview and seeing them making fun of mj . now im disgusted not to mj but to them. they making fun of someone who is sick with lupus and vitiligo. so cruel. mj is more than just a skin color.
I watched that episode in the dark
This is good.
“this the grossest thing… I’d ever seen” 😂😂😂
That black girl at the end though wish she was in the show
Holly Hell! I AM WEEZING 🤣
Is there a full q&a?
There was but I’m trying to find out if SXSW is uploading it. Sadly they may not which sucks because I looked forward to it. I just wanted something on hand. I have a couple of other videos that I might upload.
@@bigwilliestyle8643 they’ll be releasing it possibly end of the month or in May.
Literal genius
geniuses
That episode creeps me tf out lol idc what no one says
Yo why did he say "my girl at the time"?????? Are they not still together??
No he put emphasis on pregnant. She was “pregnant” at the time. That’s what he meant because on Kimmel he still talks about her. I misinterpreted then too. But he was talking about her pregnancy in past tense
@@douchecuban oh if that's the case he better be careful or the gf gon be angry with his phrasing
Anyone know the Michael Jackson meme he was talking about?
www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2234414/amp/Michael-Jackson-The-BILLION-dollar-shopping-spree-killed-global-icon.html
wonder if teddy was there?❤
"At 6 o'clock " HAHAHA
Why does he refer to ludwig in the past tense
And.....we now know that Donald played Teddy 🤣
Donald Glover is a "Weirdo" at a time when people are fascinated by the dark and bizarre ... He's somewhat an intellectual bent towards all things bizarre weird and off-putting ! "Weirdo"
Why the cameraman cant keep the camera still wtf?
Because he had stuff in his hand and realized it was too late to switch… I appreciate the feedback.
@@douchecuban ah my fault bro for the frustration, I thought it was someone else.
@@geraldking9385 no your fine I should have done it that way but the full Q and A should be up either end of the month or may according to SXSW I just posted some snippets. I also was fixing to get a photo with him. I kind of did it’s the most blurry photo I ever accepted as a camera man. But I’m there and he was as close as humanly possible without it being weird. He’s good guy just very busy and on a super fixed schedule. Which I completely understand, my hope for Donald is that he accomplishes everything that he ever set out to do. He’s one of those talents that doesn’t get to do everything they wanted.
@@douchecuban so true. I was in a zoom meeting yesterday with one of the writers and they let it be known that what the pilot that was pitched wasnt even the same one that was shown to us! Can you believe it? I was surprised
Nobody asked the only question I wanted answered smh WHO WAS THE NIGGA IN THE WHEELCHAIR?!!! WAS IT HIS DAD?!! WHO?!!
Lmfao at Hiro
Is the writer with the animal print boots the same actor who played in the Montague episode . You know the character who was black but feels he’s white? The trans racial character 🧐🧐😂
Zazie High AF 🤣
I hated that episode so much
I love how essentially Teddy came from just a random conversation about how scary Michael Jackson looked. And you had all these people making analysis about the theories and meaning behind the episode.
Well I think their is more to it but yeah the gist was Michael Jackson.
@@douchecuban I think there are certain themes. I don’t think it’s super deep tho.
there are a lot of deep meanings and themes behind the episodez that hiro and glover have both publicly talked about. if you don't want to do ones, then watch something else. this show is literally nothing but packed nuance and meaning
that’s where the idea came from. doesn’t mean the episode doesn’t have a clear and obvious meaning.
This is such a great observation! The things that make us laugh are sometimes things that would be terrifying if experienced first-hand, and the laughter is like a defense. This is kinda what schadenfreude is. So yeah, the initial idea was just two friends laughing about weird stuff, but Donald then translated it into something else.
