Thanks, Lex. 3 years later and this video is still pure Gold. I'm a newbie freelancer and I'm sucking myself in your videos. They are super helpful. Thanks again! 🙌 ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Lex, thanks a lot for this video. What I liked the most was that you speak sooo clearly, even for those who doesn't speak a perfect English, like me. I understood everything what you said, and I know it will help me a lot with this. I'm just starting at UpWork and it's my first time trying to earn money by my self. But I'm sure that I will do my best with channels like yours. Best regards from Colombia.
Great points Lex. I also feel flush sometimes and have to curb the desire to spend it on stuff my business doesn’t actually need. Having less money to invest in the business can be a good thing I think, forcing us to get creative and scrappy.
Thanks for the tips, Lex. By the way, you being rude to refunders and low-value people is fair game. Your courses in Udemy are already at a big discount and give so much value. People who downplay your efforts is a buzzkill and a pain on the butt. I understand that. I just want to let you know I appreciate your efforts and I thank you for making your courses for teaching us new skills to improve our lives. Cheers, Lex!
I wish there will be a guide for beginners like me, someone can show the ropes on how to start freelancing, and to be familiar when it comes to different transaction, clients, and service request.
lol! I'll do a webinar that leads into my Bald is Beautiful mastermind. Don't think of it as losing $10k. It's an investment in your professionalism! >)
my availability is whited out, and to the right of it , it says off. Then it goes to badge, and it wont let me do anything because it says I am unavailable. I have no idea what is going on. Does that mean that my prospects will see that I am unavailable? I don't know what do do. thanks for your help. I have been applying for lots of jobs and have gotten nothing.
It seems like you do not look at the camera. I think, you should do it to create better contact with viewers. Anyway, video is super! And you have awesome narrative!)
Did you ever run into situations where there were lots of potential jobs available but you were always missing 1 or 2 of the requested skills and if so how do did decide whether to invest time in learning that skill? Did you ever take the risk of learning the skill on-the-fly after accepting a job? Also, did you ever run into situations where you had built a model of some kind and you didn't want to risk just giving away your product so that client could rebrand it and resell it?
Hey Lex. Do you have a video on taxes and how you pay for the freelance side of things? I heard you have to pay around 30% in taxes when working on Upwork. Any info will help, thanks.
Can't remember if I've done a video on it or not. I'll put it on the list for future videos for when I start recording again after the 23rd. If you want the simple answer, hire a good accountant! :D

I've been working fulltime for 3 years on Upwork and can second all 5 of these points. Great tips. Tip no. 3 is one no freelancer should ignore!
I'll really like to kinda talk to you about how one can get proposal approved.
Public announcement. I'm an asshole to refunders, and people of low value. Nobody can say I didn't warn you or that I hide my true colors.
been searching for over six months have not gotten any

I hope so because UA-cam will be my next big semi-passive income system. 🙂
Of course you're bold. That's why we like you.
Thanks for the pointers and stimulation.
Came to learn more about freelancing and I did but got another takeaway too. I'm balding and I realize I can still look good while bald. Like!
Thanks for this! I am beginning to understand what I need to do to survive as a freelancer
