Saw Sam Querrey on Tennis Channel. He is still set on playing pickleball events for the year. Can't really see why he is doing this. He made $13million+ in tennis earnings. US tennis could use his services to coach junior and pro players. Europe is far ahead of the US in terms of getting former players to coach. Juan Carlos Ferrero is an example of a former top Spanish player who coaches Carlos Alcaraz, who is number 1 in the world. Apparently, Sam is residing in Las Vegas. Maybe, he can partner with Andre Agassi, who also lives in Las Vegas, and beat the Johns brothers.

I literally have a scar on my left eyelid from getting hit by my partner's paddle. This was back in 90s in the Seattle area. Pickleball was a part of our PE curriculum and we had those old school wooden paddles. They had wrist straps, but my partner neglected to put his on. We were up a few points and it was my serve. He decided that'd be fun to jump into the air and hit the ball to me at the peak of his jump. He did so, but his paddle slipped out of his hand and hit me 1/4 inch from my left eye. I started bleeding everywhere and had to go to the doctor for butterfly bandaids. (Looking at the scar later, my doc said... I probably should have done stitches) - I had to wear an eye patch for a week! But I think that it's possible that in 1994, I had one of the first ever Pickleball injuries! I'm at least in the top 100 :)
Curious, what did you find so bad about the video? Granted, the quality was HD, 720p but acceptable. Of course 1080p would be better. On the plus side, the replay is commercial free, time outs are edited out and the ever so boring video challenge is cut out. I'll take this.
I watched the other championship matches from your stream and they were fine. I appreciate the time you took to edit and also uploading for everyone to view. I’m not a Prime subscriber and won’t be to watch Pickleball. I have fiber at home on my devices, so I don’t think it was my connection, but it could have been. Seemed like a buffering problem. Anyway thanks for the matches.
Let's be honest. The women players are not playing at a level to give ALW any competition. And I do not see any players on the tour who have the talent and focus to beat ALW. Basically, ALW had the pickleball training similar to say the Williams sisters or any WTA player, meaning they started playing at age 10 or under. This allowed ALW to have all that brain thinking at an early age. While most of the women players come from a tennis background, they started playing pickleball at 20+, which is too late to have the skills ALW developed in her early teens. For ALW to truly play someone with her skill set, it will have to come from someone like herself, who started playing at a very young age. And of course, ALW can always play in some WTA events.
Riley Newman is a sloppy player. He over takes too much and gets himself running back and forth until he eventually misses. It’s like he has no confidence in his partners.
I was impressed with how Todd played. I believe she is the second most talented woman player. She is extremely intense. I am surprised her pro tennis career was so mediocre at best. Maybe she was busy with her business career, and lost interest in tennis.
@@jennisonb37 Todd has more natural feel than Bright. Bright seems a bit more robotic than Todd. The women's division is in dire need for talent. There is a bunch of juniors who in the next 5 years will take out the current top women players other than ALW..
Jesus christ the woman announcer could look up a Stat or two. "And that's why Anna Lee is the queen of dinking!". Cool, any elaboration? Insider training? Quote from her trainer? Would a person hearing it know wtf is going on?
I go out to my local park. For health reasons, I can only hit the pickleball softly. I am a tennis player, and have never played in an all out pickleball game. I did not like how the pickleball felt when it struck by my paddle. Not near as natural as how a tennis ball feels when it hits the racket. Most pickleball recreation players did not play tennis. You can pick up pickleball much easier than tennis, which is the reason for pickleball's growth. There are two things that pickleball should do: 1) Allow for overhead serve like tennis 2) come up with a better ball. One thing that pickleball is better than tennis is you do not have to deal with broken strings. Seemed like everytime I played tennis - I broke a string. I have a stringer so I could string my own rackets. But a string packet can cost around $12.
DA BIGGEST BOSS NAMED RICK ROSS BOUGHT ME HERE TO SEE WHAT THIS PICKLE BALL PADDLING IS ALL ABOUT 😂👀

BELAIRE BOYZZZ IN DA BUILDING!!! DJ Envyiousssss girl professionally cleaning those paddles. 😭😭😭🤣
Yeah!!! Go Ben and ALW!
Pickleball is a combination of tennis and ping pong. Padel is a combination of tennis and squash.
Is there the chance you could upgrade your resolution of your videos, please? 720p is so outdated and hard to watch.
Waters, Johns that's as best as it gets!!

no way, the level Agassi plays pickleball is not even as good as ALW. :)
I’ve always been worried about accidentally throwing my paddle after a hard swing, I think that maybe there should be wrist straps, at least optional
It really shows how soft the pros keep their hands when playing at the net. Us amateurs need to take note.
GEARBOX
@@kimleith1378 I was thinking the same thing. The butt cap has a place for a wrist tether like the Gearbox racquetball racquets.
