Nice song!, I wonder how Bigsky would accompany eachother, I like Valhalla's but I also love the Bigsky, but very expensive. I also ordered a CS. Cheers
It's a fantastic wee synth, sounds great and does a lot more than the eye can see with having no menu diving or shortcuts. The lack of patch memory and no velocity sensitivity on the keys i guess is why it never became all that popular. It sound's really good though (the most important thing), very warm sounding little beast and filled to the brim with sweet spots. Personally I love it, i can get very vangelisy, boccy & tangerine dreamy pad's, bass and leads from it. The delay and chorus effects are also really nice. The sliders feel good and general build quality is really good. Well worth the money despite it's shortcomings. Ohh and it makes a really cool midi controller as well.
Graham Bole thanks for the feedback!! I appreciate the honesty. I had similar concerns about saving patches years ago when I played with one but now I think that might be the part I'm looking forward to the most!! Can't wait to take this thing to the park :)
Graham Bole I agree. Yamahas decision to add all the unique oscillator options was a stroke of genius, IMO. It adds so much to the sound and possibilities, and using the looper for drones that can be synced is tons of fun. I actually put one in my cart this morning and will probably buy it sometime over the next couple weeks. This demo reeeeally made me miss mine haha. Which oscillator setting were you using?
Breathtaking. After realising that these are still available I am so torn between the CS and Minilogue... I'm leaning towards the CS just cuz of it's niche-factor. It's such an incredible synth in such a small and rare package, and so incredibly versatile with so few controls. An absolute classic!
@@n.s.7384 Minilogue XD. But only just. I actually did order the Reface CS but there were major delays in stock. And I ended up watching the Sonic State review of the XD and it closed some concerns I had about the Minilogue's being a bit limited in their pallette. The reverb in the XD was also the deciding factor. I'd say it came down to 1. Minilogue XD, 2. Reface CS, 3. Minilogue. I wanted an all-in-one including FX ideally so I could experiment and jam without having to worry about any I/O. Another option very worth considerin is a Reface CS + Korg NTS-1 if you need a reverb and don't mind the extra connectivity. It has an almost BigSky-equivalent reverb. Very lovely.
I actually haven't yet got my hands on a Minilogue though. I did play with the Reface CS in a shop once and couldn't believe how everything I did sounded great, so I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with it
I think it's going to be a close one for me too! I was a little put off by some people saying the minilogue XD has a more metallic sound but I don't know if that's even true. It'll be my first synth and I'm mainly looking to make warm pads. Think you're right, either one would be a good choice for lots of reasons! 😊 It does seem like the XD covers more ground
i love how warm the cs can sound at times. I've never used a minilogue but it looks awesome. Personally i don't think they make bad synths anymore, they all sound great in their own way. You can't go wrong either way.
Incredible!
Well done, mate! The CS is extraordinary, so simple to use, but what an amazing sounds. I love its warmth, i got it for 200€ used and i'm super happy
I love the atmosphere you created! It's super smooth and creamy.
Thanks dude!

Awesome track! Subbed! 😊 I just purchased the Yamaha Reface CS looking for some inspiration. 😊
Amazing. Can't believe this is a Yamaha Reface CS. I am thinking of getting the Reface DX.
damn this sounds wild im counting the days down till mine shows up on my doorstep... I am confused why this synth isn't more popular...?

Amazing performance!
Just bought one for my birthday, this could be in blade runner...fantastic stuff!
Love this!
Amazing!! Do you have any recordings out? Would love to hear more like this!!
Really fantastic work here my dude! Missing my CS a lot lately. Might have to snatch up another soon.
Thanks Haut. It's amazing what it can do considering it only has one oscillator. Really easy to get lost playing around with it.

Haut Strange did you get it again?
Wow, I hate that this ends

I'm in the same boat! Which way did you go in the end? :)

How did you achieve that flute like sound? The track is absolutely amazing ❤️
Really beautiful. Did you use a sequencer/arpegiator?
