Absolutely the best video to date, my goodness the upwind sailing abilities combined with your skill wow, mind blowing.
I love the working jib was near flat, the boat heeled into its rails and she plows through thick and thin.
Just a subtle reminder the power of the Liz 29.
Thank you Stuart, I loved this video. Bravo sir bravo 👏

She's a flier! Does the Liz 29 get a heavy tiller when cranked over that far? Esp with working jib and full main? She looks like a really fun boat to sail!

Hi Jamie. I’ve never found the tiller heavy although usually my TP32 or Windpilot Pacific Light handle the steering duties. When I first purchased and renovated the boat I fitted a new mast and boom from zspars adding 1.2m to the mast section and a bit onto the boom length. My mainsail area is 18.75m2 vs an original designer spec of 14.5. (156ft2). I’ve never experienced excessive weather helm though other owners I believe have. The tiller is finger tip light in most conditions. I was hand steering out through the needles on this trip, enjoying the sailing and steering to the tell tales, only attaching the wind vane having passed the overfalls at Bridge. I did flatten the main with max outhaul and a fair bit of backstay tension, and dropping the traveller down. Hope this helps!
