Mike Mackenzie demonstrating the need for referees in ultimate
McKenzie such a horrible sportsmanship here.. so sad
I had no problem with McKenzie calling foul at 39.12. I'm a US citizen and US fan.
Running while locating the frisbee and making contact accidentally gets called a foul??? Idk if I like that rule at all.
Opening pull at 25:17, second half at 1:23:35
DrGoliath You’re actually the 🐐.
@@ridgeh4962 I'm a goat?
DrGoliath like you know, greatest of all time? Basically I’m thanking you for putting the time stamps lol
@@ridgeh4962 Ah, I wasn't aware of that particular acronym, but I'll definitely take the compliment :)
Pretty bad foul call at 39:12. Contact is being initiated by the offensive player.
EDIT: and a similar call from the same player at 2:03:50. You can't throw yourself into the defender and call a foul!
Then he misses the catch and looks around like it was an obvious foul against him :( Let's not bring soccer flopping into ultimate.
108:54 too :(
@@somesinger1575 I think the foul call at 1:08:54 is pretty legit, actually. USA player changes direction twice and trips the Canadian receiver. (Also, that's a different player making the call.)
Horrible call, Canadian veered off his line to initiate contact and pushed off... If he had caught the pass the USA player should have called it.
@@doktarr I didn't mean it was the same player :) . . . Here's why I don't believe it's a foul by the american at 1:08:54, he's reacting to the offense as he's trying to maintain proximity and the other player seems to trip over his own feet and in fact the canadian dives in front of the american forcing him to take a dive or kick the canadian :) If anything, this is a foul on the canadian.
Long hair needs to learn "incidental contact"
She probably should.
Canada, living up to their Ultimate reputation. Being illegally physical, fouling non-stop and being embarrassingly floppy about their own foul calls.
The lack of spirit Canada shows on a regular basis is embarrassing. Canada, showing how not to play Ultimate Frisbee.
drschplatt relax man it’s a game there’s going to be fouls, it just shows that the care about the game. The US wasn’t playing super clean either
@@brynmcdougald2418 a lot cleaner than Canada, including the line call that they conceded to Mackenzie
It’s just different groups of guys some are nice Canadians like the stereo type and some are hockey player nelk boys who full send and get animated because it is enjoyable to be extra or expressing the belief you’ll get more if you force more deal.
1:00:33 underrated bad call never anywhere near the guy he was supposedly gaurding
Lol he was even making a play on the original thrower. Absolute trash call.
horrible calls this was hard to watch
Wow the dominator offence is just crazy
I think this sport needs a referee to make it fair
Samuel Corzo takes away from the game and that’s what observers are there for to settle arguments
@SamuelCorzo
@Beekyy - takes away from the game, I disagree immensely. Most athletes are used to having officials in their sport and don’t understand all this chit chat amongst players trying to sort things out. We regularly see bad calls that a referee would never make slow the pace of the game, change momentum etc... this is the age old argument. I understand yours entirely, I get “spirit” I’ve played college mixed and open ultimate, and I would love to have officials in the game and I think it would be an improvement.
@@beekyy3310 No observers in WFDF. At the top level, particularly international I see tons of bad calls. 48:23 foul call seems bad to me. American receiver for some reason doesn't even look up at the disk. Canada had disc first and barely any contact. Bad call leads to makeup calls and it ends up chippy.

What in the white bread no seasoning is goin on here
?
Got em wit da HOLE grains for brains
58:00 travel? Lol what planet is that guy from where that is a travel?
Hm. moved his toe six to eight inches with the tricky heel pivot, then roll to top of foot and dragged another six inches - thats like a foot.
You're correct. There really wasn't much of a travel whatsoever there.
stra figoo
One team carried themselves like professionals, and then other acted like a bunch of highschoolers
1:28:50 "Built like a Cadillac" lmfaooo 🤣🤣🤣
2:03:02 foot definitely on the line, but I guess the american was just being nice?
Well noticed. Hard to see at full speed maybe.

Let’s go Canada 🇨🇦
for the last point, 25 was clearly traveled. But nobody called it out...
turn at 1:05:05?
29:58-30:08 Interesting failure of Cdn players to orbit their marks in the endzone stack as the disc was moved laterally from the sideline to mid field (although orange cleats who got scored on did switch a couple times).
31:30, CA does slash play
32:45, US ho stack sets up 20 yards away
32:55-33:08, CA #44 gives up a huck while marking. He could see the whole field before setting his mark. Was it the right choice?
34:30-34:45, CA sets up same slash play. Oddly doesn't opt to throw to 98 who's wide open on the break side. Instead, throws a tough io flick past a poach (bc oddly the handler who caught the disc ran to the open side) to the slashing cutter with a mark trailing him.(They also sets up 20 yards from disc.) They get a nice 15 yarder as the continuation though (from a hectic everyone-strikes moment).
35:45-36:00, somehow 2 US players cover no one while standing at the front of the endzone stack...
38:23, Can't understand why CA didn't strike deep right off the bat here (doesn't have the throw??). US is covering only the unders, with two poaches covering the first cut in the open side. Deep wide open. Even just making that deep strike as the first cut would've opened up space to the break side by pulling US #30 deep. Or maybe the whole problem here is CA stacking on the open side?...
39:10-41:00, worst foul call ever. embarrassing.
42:10-42:15, US again, two points in a row, messes up coverage of front of stack. (Miscommunication on the switch.) That said, CA played really sloppy the whole point, using the open side to clear most of the time. This last pass to score was the most open CA was all point. The preceding 10 or so passes near the endzone (from 41:35) were not able to advance the disc and score because CA kept clogging the field.
46:55, US side stack flood play
50:45, CA sets up some sort of ho stack play (cutter 3 cuts deep then under while C1 and C2 cut across). Handler couldn't break to get it to #3
