I had the same thing happen. I was a kid playing with adults and we kicked the ball at the same time and my foot was forced into that position. It still hurts to this day

Hello doctor, need a help. I have been having tingling in between first and second toes of left foot for about 4months. I feel it as a type of hyper sensitivity and it reaches the top of the foot & lower leg. I have consulted neurologist and they did tests including mri of head, neck, spine. Also emg&nerve conduction studies. Couldn’t find anything. I’m recently feeling pain in left knee left side nerve when pressing and this reaches the foot as well. Also I have pain in left buttock. Could you please advise.

Not sure what that is! The sustentaculum tali is a process on the heel bone, not sure what proc. posterior tali is

@@TheDrFoot Thank you for your quick response! I'm studying for a anatomy exam and the proc. posterior tali is one of the bony bits I need to know, but there's very little information on the internet. I will ask one of my teachers!

Can this cause lateral ankle pain? If it pushes down or pinches at the back ?

Possibly, posterior lateral subtaler joint pain but probably more commonly sural nerve involvement
