Hey Scaffold, Ive an advice. It would be good if you'd make a tutorial video about building setups in general. And can you PLEASE explain the terms about the game. (Like FE or Harmless, but please explain much things as much as you can, I sometimes dont understand. Or you can also make a video about it, it would be awesome.)
@@_GoldenFreddy__ sorry but i’m not gonna make another vid about building setups since ive made 2 build demonstrations and a live stream of me building a setup but i might one day do the second suggestion
ua-cam.com/video/MpjiMLTNSbQ/v-deo.html is my easiest FE Harmless Cobless setup and despite being noob friendly it is stable as fuck--now you can stop saying FE Harmless Cobless is unsolved. Next venue I shall do a stable harmless setup in is PE. I have a feeling this would work for PE but would be a tad harder (due to the forced 7.5 second gap between the doom shroom and the ice shroom).
that's a great pseudo-harmless setup but it doesn't work for true harmlessness. footballs require fodders to prevent reaching the front glooms and jacks can blow up on every single row. i think your other setup was better
@@ScaffoldPvZ Footballs (and Gigas) require fodders for sure (and Zombonis on R1/R6 require spikeweed) but I am not sure to be harmless the plants/fungi that are not part of the permanent setup need to not be harmed---but yeah, that's a difference of perspective that can't be resolved...I am aware there is a school of thought that says that no plant can be harmed, fodder or otherwise (and a more radical version that says that when you use an instant you "harm" the instant). What I do want you to consider is fodders are also "harmed" in NE harmless cobless and nobody calls that a pseudo-harmless setup, so we do have some bigotry in the PVZ community that we need to be aware of and perhaps call out. Regarding jacks, if you play C2 right, the risk of any explosion within range is lower than even that in FE minimalist cobless...test it out yourself if you don't believe me, should be pretty easy for you since you rock at C2.
@@imPLANT_PVZ first of all, the definition of pseudo harmless is that all the permanent plants remain unharmed which u did perfectly and the definition of harmless cobless is that all plant health is set to 1 including fodders second of all, NE harmless cobless is meant to be played with all plant health set to 1. check my vid or ming's vid of the setup and you'll see that the fodders are eaten instantly thirdly, the risk of explosion isn't less than minimalist. rows 1/6 would be harmless but they need double fume instead of single fume (albeit pretty stable) and rows 2/5 aren't harmless without glooms on col 6. both of these jack explosions are extremely rare but they are obscenely more likely than an explosion in minimalist cobless
@@ScaffoldPvZ Dude, I figured out what you meant about the plant health thing AFTER I posted my comment but BEFORE I read your reply. I meant to post FE Harmless Cobless with plant weak mode enabled before I acknowledged I had initially misunderstood what you meant, but completing the setup took longer than anticipated. Eventually I switched to C3 because I am not good enough with C2 yet (although I practice C2 practically every day and have improved quite a bit) to manage a plant weak setup. Delaying using fodders has always been a key weapon in the arsenal of cobless players and this plant weak mode thing is pretty emasculating, NGL. While I have played FE Harmless Cobless now with plant weak mode enabled (ua-cam.com/video/D39BAtfUTAY/v-deo.html), frankly, I played it in protest. FWIW, this challenge is more retarded than my Gloomless Cobless no starfruit replacement challenge because no starfruit replacement at least has the advantage of reducing sun expenditure (because with starfruit replacement you end up having to use starfruit as fodder) but plant weak mode just increases the difficulty without any corresponding advantage. Even with C3 the level of precision required is unreal. Snorkels and Bucketheads will eat your imitator doom in the split second after they unfreeze. Pole vaulters will jump over the fodder for Gigas and touch the Glooms on C5 of R2/R5 and the Glooms will disappear along with the flower pots underneath. If you time your instants wrong you will have jacks exploding in range. All in all, this challenge felt worse than a visit to a proctologist. In any event, will you now acknowledge that cobless strategies in FE can be played harmlessly and this is no longer an unsolved problem. Dude, I came up with a better answer to the DE 64676 proposition (ua-cam.com/video/HX7bezkzbXk/v-deo.html). I loved this proposition quite a bit, this was much more challenging and exciting. Give me another cool one when you can…anything but RE. Also, can you please evaluate my FE Harmless Cobless (ua-cam.com/video/tKCq6vPPS2M/v-deo.html) when you have time and tell me whether it is a workable harmless solution (or why you feel this can’t be a workable harmless solution for FE)? If you think it is not workable, can we tweak this to make this work?
@@imPLANT_PVZ cool. i still think double ice is more stable for that setup even if it might be harder. i can’t evaluate your FE harmless cobless because intuitively i see no issues but its also infamously an unsolved proposition. Ask xuefeng lingnai or something
@@ScaffoldPvZ Obviously, Double Ice is more stable for that setup but IMHO you are wrong about Double Ice being harder-I got a Double Ice run in the first attempt (ua-cam.com/video/D7j8RSG1o3o/v-deo.html). Double Doom is harder because: (a) firstly, there are 7 good crater spots (instead of the 8 you need for Double Doom strategies) and even if you have your preferred crater sequence down pat, the unpredictability of whether you will manage to have the preferred crater spot out of reach of Gigas/Gargs basically forces you to sometimes freestyle and crater random spots. On the other hand, one just needs 4 crater spots for a Double Ice strategy which is waaaay easier to map out; and (b) every time a Doom explodes (which happens twice every 50 seconds for Double Doom i.e. twice as frequently than every 50 seconds as in the case of Double Ice), Zombonis spawn and pose a threat to the Gloom at R4-C7.
🎉good bro
