He helped him with the mannerisms and the Cuban accent for that film. Although, in BB and BCS he is suppossed to be Mexican and forces the accent a little, and you notice the difference with other actors, especially Tony Dalton (Lalo). IMO, it's not really good. Not terrible, but not very good, the same way Tony Montana's Spanish was sometimes overacted. I'm Cuban myself and that's what I have notice. But, anyway, it's not something that ruins these top-tier series for me. Now, Gus' Spanish... that's really terrible.

Lalo is by far, not only the most dangerous Salamanca, but as well the most dangerous antagonist in the BCS/BB universe. -Had Mike’s ability to murder. -Had Gus’s ability to persuade and manipulate. -Had Saul’s charming and ability to connect with people. -Had Hector’s leadership abilities. Gustavo was lucky as hell, in any normal circumstances even he would have fallen before Lalo Salamanca.

lalo uno de los mejores villanos, pero creo que esta por debajo de gustavo fring, ya que nunca logro construir una red de narcotrafico como si lo hizo gustavo, otro que es de los antiheroes mas temibles es mike, sin tener un imperio criminal este tipo puede acabar con cualquiera de ellos.
@@camusdonovan1934 por mucho Lalo es el gran villano de better call Saúl y breaking Bad, la diferencia de Lalo y Gus es que Lalo si era un narcotraficante un criminal de tiempo completo, Gus tiene la fachada de empresario legal y benefactor, se esconde detrás de una imagen, Lalo es 100% transparente incluso ejecuta personas aún sabiendo que lo pueden identificar los gringos y hasta en Europa lo hizo
@@alfagamaa y eso que, gus es aun peor, porque el es mas que un criminal de tiempo completo, es capaz de fingir ser legal y benefactor, hasta engaño a la dea y elimino al cartel de ciudad juarez de don eladio, no creo que lalo hubiera podido lograr tal proesa.

This was a great way to introduce Lalo. This badass song blasting in the kitchen, Lalo cooking and singing not giving a damn while Domingo was nervously sitting at the restaurant table waiting for Nacho, then Nacho arrives and Domingo’s body language is like “Dude I think you’ve been demoted, go see in the kitchen”.
Whenever I listen to this my charisma becomes 99.1% pure

wey, ahora quiero una serie de Lalo, la neta me encantó el personaje, sin duda Tony se la sacó con la actualización. Que bonito es verlo en proyectos como BCS cuando lo conocí en Matando Cabos.
También es uno de mis personajes favoritos, pero no creo que sea necesario un spin off de lalo

It’s dumb to include Nacho in this, his dad immigrated to the states and Nacho was born there, so it makes sense why his Mexican accent wouldn’t be too strong. Most people who move countries at a young age or are born there pick up the local accent

Usually a mexican parent would teach basic Spanish day to day language skills and vocabulary. Some parents forego their native completely as to become completely 'americanized', others do like to keep a bilingual background. As the son of immigrants living in a foreign country, I know this from personal experience.
BTW Lalo speaks with a strong Tex-Mex/Laredo accent very much like to what I used to hear around the Coahuila/Chihuahua-US border.
