The New York Mets were looking dead in the water a couple months ago but these days things are very different for this New York Mets team. The Mets pitching is cooking and the offense is doing enough to allow them to consistently be picking up wins. As a Mets fan out here on Long Island I will admit that I had said numerous times our season was over. Boy am I eating my words now lol it does happen. Looking forward to seeing what Aćuna and crew can do if and when they make the playoffs. Lots of young players and some fine years ahead of you ask me.

Great coverage. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from 2015 when we lost to the Royals. Uggghhh that hurt. But there's something about this team this year. My Mets have this thing called chemistry. And once you're ALL IN as a unit, and everyone is pulling the weight, its hard to lose that fight. LFG METS!!!!!!This is our year baby

When they were doing roll call game one and Cespedes had his name called but didn’t come out of the dugout I got a sick feeling in my stomach. Then the first pitch of the series is hit his way and the Royals had an in-the-park home run. I went to my friends dad at the time and my buddy and I laid a lot of money on the Royals for game 1 and the series lol would of been a Win-Win either way.

You can see the positive attitude the whole team has. And they never give up. They don't let a set-back discourage them. The first game in this current Phillies series shows that. They go up 2-0, the score gets tied quickly, and right after that, they take the lead back and don't relinquish it. They play 27 hard outs. They can taste the post-season, and they like the flavor.
Bruce Hooper was definitely filling his diaper last night when Diaz came into the game last night.
When i tell you that i have reached my peak of frustration with the Mets this year, it was at an all time high. And i was certain this team had no chance of POSSSIBILITIES to be this close to making the post season. They shut me up ! And i'll take the accountability lol it's not easy being a Mets fan.. LFGM !!

So, we actually did see a comeback like this just two years ago: the 2022 Braves, and that's based on what their win percentage was as of the furthest games back they were behind the Mets (10.5 games back, over .640 win percentage after that point, a time frame of four months). The only reason people don't think of what the Braves did as a comeback is because of the extremely negative opinion of the Mets, as MLB's court jester. With that kind of win percentage over that long a timeframe....yeah, it wasn't a Mets choke, but the Braves playing historically stellar baseball to even make themselves a part of the equation, let alone rip the Division away on the final days. To call it a Mets choke diminishes how good the Braves had to be, especially because the Mets played over .600 baseball in that same timeframe. Mets were VERY good that year, the Braves were just better.
