In reference to the third question, I believe the person may have meant that when they do a Blast search they only get rerouted back to the search page. This happens to me sometimes with the protein blast where after clicking blast, the page comes up where it says estimated time for page to load, I'll go to another tab as I wait, and then once the loading completes, instead of results, I am back on the Blast search page where the entry query is now blank as if nothing had been previously submitted. I have found that the fix is to click back and refresh, but sometimes it takes multiple attempts, and the search almost always takes a lot of time.
The same thing used to happen with me alot.. but I realized I need to wait for the webpage to completely load (the round circle on top of the webpage should stop, means page has loaded fully) before I click blast. Then u wudn't loop back to the begining of blast entry all over again.
I searched the patient who had mutation in their sequence and did blast search on it. For results I found Human *** gene as one of the closest identity. When I used your formatting option to see the sequence I saw AAT-----GGTC, is that the identity of the mutation? Because after that - line the pink colour letters showed???
When will there be another webinar on NCBI
I'd really want the slide

How do the results change if you search in the non-redundant protein
database instead of in Swissprot, and why?

It sounds like you're talking into a rotary phone with a handkerchief over the receiver. Tell Fauci to spring for some new microphones!
With $41.7 billion in annual funding you would think the NIH could get a better microphone
Great!
But it sounds like the presentator is doing the voice over from the backside of the f*cking moon.
Maybe get a better microphone next ime please
