  • This video is part of the Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation's Animated Asian and Pacific Islander Histories Project. This video features the voices of several Japanese Americans as they share their childhood memories of watching their fathers being taken away to incarceration camps during WWII. Over 700 Japanese Americans were temporarily incarcerated on Angel Island shortly after the events of Pearl Harbor. After a few weeks, they were then later moved to other Department of Justice camps across the US.
