So, after having seen the movie, I gotta say: Casting Josh Brolin was yet another stroke of genius by Marvel Studios. His portrayal of Thanos is easily my favorite superhero movie villain of all time. He stole every scene he was in. Brilliant casting and performance!
Incog2k6 He was fantastic but he on the list of superhero villains in film for me he's 3 or 4 (The others being Ledgers Joker,Hardys Bane and Eckharts Two Face)
Alexander Rahl Your comedy bores me. Your antics are that of a silly child. And apparently, you forgot to add my favorite joke in your script. I shall honor our agreement, TBS, IF you make me laugh. But comeback at me with lame jokes, and I will bathe the stage in your blood.
+Declan Brannigan her character was supposed to represent the viewpoint of the ordinary person/audience who knows nothing about the intricacies of the drug war. Which is why she approached most of the situation with a degree of idealistic naivety. A good counterbalance to Del Toro's character who was muck deep in it. Just my opinion, could be wrong.
Ooh! I bet that's something Brolin walked into that comic book store not knowing, and walked out thinking, "Holy crap! That gives me all these new ideas on how to play this character!"
+Nezar Tireguit Thanos is likely going to be a much more serious villain, especially since he has yet to say any jokes and does not appear to have much of a sense of humor. We've heard some of what he has done to other races and groups, and none of that is laughing matter. Besides, this version of Ultron was supposed to have humor. He was literally the personification of Tony Stark without any of his kindness and sanity. Hence, he still keeps Stark's very catty, sarcastic humor. I actually think they made Ultron better by doing that, rather than just making him a bland copycat of The Terminator or HAL 9000.
Interestingenough4 Interesting, guess i didn't think of it that way, yet i still don't dig the design and continuous quips throughout the movie, even tony stark was beginning to get serious at some point, still loved the movie but the tone of the trailers have been so misleading. EDIT : Spelling mistake
Kamikaze Chinaman You do realize that Whedon stepped aside and the Russo brothers are in charge now, right? While I think he was the right guy for the MCU and thoroughly enjoyed both Avengers flicks, it was time for him to hand the reins over to the Russos. He was getting overwhelmed with how big the MCU was getting.

So I don't know much about him but I think he's gonna be a great fit for Thanos and a great addition to our beloved MCU. But did he just mock comic book fans? :E
+hylianchriss I think he was just expressing his realization about how serious it is to be apart of the comic book world to tons of comic book nerds lol
I already knew who Josh Brolin was and already respected him and his work but getting to see him speak with a respectful interviewer has made me appreciate his work as Thanos and Cable all the more
I have a newfound respect for Josh Brolin because I just heard in an interview with Marc Maron, mr.Brolin here used to go see BLACK FLAG in 1982 when he was a teenager!😁
Thanos was a good guy in the movie. I rooted for him.......sorry. P.S. I feel like Captain Marvel is going to be the good "Superman" movie we all wanted.
Bitch he killed half of the universe. If he was worried about the resources he could had created more.... Don't tell me his gauntlet can't create some food and water? Even Dr. Strange created beer to Thor once
I think in the second one Thanos is going to do exactly that. Reverse the deaths of everyone and creat more recources. Because all he knew was killing. Even before the stones. So the thought of him just fixing the problem by making everything unlimited never hit his mind. Because he was so in to the idea of having to kill everyone. He even regrets it in a way in the movie when he talked to baby Gamora. So if they present him with an alternate future, he might do that.
Thanos was not the good guy in the movie but the Protagonist. The main character of the movie. If you rewatch the movie again, Infinity War was mostly all about Thanos, some of his past, his love for gamora as his daughter, his sacrifice of everything to achieved the destiny he believes, his conviction, respect to adversaries, etc. Yes there are some scene from our heroes but the most focus ones are from Thanos because even from the heroes scenes it is all about Thanos, the mad Titan.
It was IDIOT podcast, with Chris Hardwich, who is seriously one of the funniest comedians ever! So Josh Brolin is a good is a good fit to talk with a comedian😂. As for who out of these two are funny...Definitely Brolin...Conan kind of grinds my gears.
Jack Ripper he isn't implying on movies. He says as it is. Darkseid is stronger and more powerful than Thanos. If Thanos has the infinity gauntlet and Darkseid the anti life equasion then Darkseid still wins. Any way, any how darkseid > thanos

So did James spader with ultron
@@mahreenfatima4156 I didn't even know that war spader haha, so ultron = lizard king
@@shanegallagher3524 did you even watched whole Marvel saga and then Infinity War/Endgame?
@@candre5204yeah winter soldier is the only one I'd add to this list, and maybe Loki
He did not disappoint
Most definitely. What a perfect choice for Thanos.
He was absolutely excellent. One of my favorite villains of all time
Amen
NO HE DID NOT HOLY JESUS
And reality is often disappointing
Luckily he's got the Thanos chin, that'll save a heap on the CGI budget.
Veldtian1
LOL I truly believe that's why they cast him.
Veldtian1 Hes perfect for the role!
I laughed way harder than I should've at this
Heap lol
Veldtian1 the chin is still CGI tho.it's inhumanly big in the movies.
"It's always nice when people like you" - Josh Brolin, 2016.
+Artyom Ivchatov "Like your movies"
dumbass
+Ash D wait what?
+Artyom Ivchatov _It's always nice when people like your movies_
He has the perfect face and attitude for Thanos. Josh Brolin is the man!
if he not then he will net get choosed
Not to mention his voice. After hearing brolin voice thanos and then hearing thanos from marvel vs capcom I literally threw up in my mouth.
Not to mention his voice is golden
yes yes he was!! :)

I will bathe this TBS stage in your blood!
BBBBBOOOOIII!!!
TheNerdyBoii yass
Your jokes bore me. Your comedy is that of Amy Schumer.
Thanos was magnificent. Great performance by Brolin.
Loved hearing the cheers for Sicario :) More people need to see that masterpiece
+Sam A Brilliant film..one of my best films from last year.
It's a great movie
+Sam A I dunno, I thought Benicio Del Toro was fantastic, but I didn't understand what Emily Blunt's character was there for.
Just my opinion, could be wrong.
supastar I guess that makes sense, but I think she'd have worked better as a side character, rather than the primary focus of the movie.
I like it when stars research their role... and Brolin has done a marvelous job as Thanos so far...
No pun intended
i see what you did there ;)
Red Guy I understood that reference
Red Guy Meanwhile DCEU actors are told just to workout and read nothing lol. Hope that changes.
Yea in the whole, what, 10 seconds that you've seen of him with Josh Brolin?
"They wouldn't have made it, had it not been for Thanos. They would have walked off and been orphans somewhere" LMAO
Anthony Vandal
that's what Thanos would say :D
-Thanos on Gamora, Nebula and the Black Order. 😂😂😂
I hope he knows his character is going to kill around 67 marvel characters XD
Lmfao in due time!
Actually it's 69 👅
+Tiny rick hey it's TINY RICK!!!
it's Disney he wont
Thanos should go in an alternate dimension and kill the fox universe.
Anyone here after seeing Infinity War?
Me
Just watched
Samniko Williams Yup. He was perfect as thanos
Whoop woop
Samniko Williams me toooo..
And now he's Cable.
He has Cable face
He was also Jonah hex.
C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-CABLE! CABLE! CABLE! CABLE! CABLE! CABLE! CABLE! CABLE! CABLE!
Usefeffect did thanos more better in my opinion.
Bestn8ivealive agreed
Thanos is no different from the rest of us, all he's doing is for love ;-)
+AsciiGDL the love that Ryan Reynolds stole :(
+AsciiGDL he just wants death senpai to notice him >///
You could say, he loves it to Death.
Ooh! I bet that's something Brolin walked into that comic book store not knowing, and walked out thinking, "Holy crap! That gives me all these new ideas on how to play this character!"

Fast foward 2 years.. just saw the film.. amazing job Josh Brolin. Incredible performance as Thanos.
Just seen the movie, and I have to say, he completely stole the show. Perfect casting

*Josh Brolin's mind*
"hhhmmm Is that real wood? It would be interesting if it was... let me just tap it and find out"
Lol
Josh Brolin isn't something i consider when thinking about Infinity Wars...but this brings a smile to my face.
He would make a killer Joel from Last of Us.
And young Murphy from Interstellar can play Ellie
Nothing against Maisie Williams' acting ability, but she doesn't resembles her at all.
+TheOriginalCP9 =O You are so right!!
+TheOriginalCP9 But there's no one more perfect for Joel than Hugh Jackman.
Oh my god yes!
He would be a perfect Negan for the Walking Dead
Josh Brolin is the only one who can *TRULY* master the art of playing Thanos
Perfect cast for Thanos. The other actor I thought could maybe work for this role too would be Matt Dillon. maybe it's the block shaped jaw haha
rofl
They needed room for those ridges.
Jay Leno as Thanos
MrTony 19 they also have similar voices
Matt Dillon would have been good too. He's got a great voice.
He absolutely killed it as Thanos. Better than anyone could ever expect
dude I really hope they do it like the comics man. thanos is a seriously bad ass character!
Manuma Tui
You don't know as good as me how badass Thanos was so stfu you tiny person
He really doesn't know what Thanos is capable and has done😂 He's gonna turn into a geek
Please don't make Thanos another Ultron.....
+Nezar Tireguit I think they went with the whole witty/funny/kinda silly Ultron so Thanos can be the serious bad guy
And now it's here. Or should I say...I AM.
They nailed it with Josh Brolin! Just right with the voice and everything!
Thanos was one the best-written villain in a comic movie.
Mission Accomplished.
General Kenobi! We've been waiting for you!
Time to abandon ship!
Another happy landing
He plays Cable too. Legendary

+Jack1234567890 josh brolin is a world class actor
Blazed Duck
The most important thing in the end, is to be vegan.
Jack1234567890 ok im vegan but that was random
Blazed Duck
Nevertheless it is true.
Jack1234567890 yeah being vegan is great but why respond to my comment with that
I’m here after everything and he nailed it. Hard.
This guy is great. He is playing THE villain of the MCU. Must be an honor.
This does put a smile on my face.
He's so considerate about how much the comics means to people.
Came here to say:
Dude crushed it.
What a role to have. Good actor with a great voice. Perfect
Dang, this was since 2016❗️🤯
Happy Birthday Josh Brolin. May the Peace be with u. From Harlingen Texas. February 12, 2020
still cant believe that he was in the Goonies
He, as Thanos is amazing. He does a really good job playing him. Can't wait for part 2 to come out next year.
I would love to be a fly at the barbeque listening to Feige and everyone at Marvel discussing the future of the MCU.
And a year later he's cast as Cable too. First actor to star in a DC/WB comics film, Marvel Studios film and Fox Marvel film. Legend.
this man was destined to play Thanos
This man deserves an award. His performance was incredible!
Josh Brolin did a great job playing Thanos in IW
Such a fantastic actor and an awesome guy
Little did they know Conan had cable there too :D
0:09 that smile lookin like Thanos smile baby.
marvel is suddenly gone very dark with thanos.
Having seen Infinity War I must say, Josh Brolin KILLED it as Thanos.
“This does put a smile on my face”
Conan should play Mephisto in Infinity Gauntlet
sir your voice earned you that character. 100% deserved.
A few years? You're in it until the end now, fellow Josh!
And he did a perfect job at playing Thanos. Dude killed it!
So I don't know much about him but I think he's gonna be a great fit for Thanos and a great addition to our beloved MCU.
But did he just mock comic book fans? :E
+hylianchriss well he made a joke about them. It's on the comic book fans now to get overly offended or not.
+hylianchriss I think he was just expressing his realization about how serious it is to be apart of the comic book world to tons of comic book nerds lol
hylianchriss no
hylianchriss I found it funny when he did that. Lmfao 🤣😂
You don't go around killing half the universe without offending the other half, so it's really nothing compare to what he's about to do in Apr 27!
I already knew who Josh Brolin was and already respected him and his work but getting to see him speak with a respectful interviewer has made me appreciate his work as Thanos and Cable all the more
Two minutes after this interview Andy faded into dust
They couldn’t have cast anyone better except that guy honestly he fits the bill perfectly
"Fun isn't something one considers when balancing the universe"
This guy was so great.. as Thanos .. mind blowing
just watched infinity wars great job Josh thought thanos was portrayed to perfection
I could see Josh Brolin chilling in the comic shop for like two hours just getting ready for his character
It's 2018 and infinity war is cooming next month on 27th . I love Ultron in trailer i love Thanos too but just in trailer we see him and then decide.
Agent 47 death everywhere

Decided yet?
TheDriver458 no not everywhere, only half way there ya know
*This user doesn't exist.*
The best Marvel villain of ALL time for me
Little does he know of the emotional pain he will cause us in Infinity war. Great portrayal though.
That voice!!! Amazing!
You can see 5 infinity stones at 0:01
Josh Brolin
Movies
1. Young Agent K - Men in Black 3 2012
2. Dr. William Block - Planet Terror 2007
3. Brand - The Goonies 1985
Thanos...brought to you by, Cable. lol
I have a newfound respect for Josh Brolin because I just heard in an interview with Marc Maron, mr.Brolin here used to go see BLACK FLAG in 1982 when he was a teenager!😁
he has sat on a chair for almost 10 years
+Deano games at the end of Age of Ultron we see him finally moving around & grab the Infinity Gauntlet
After seeing the movie, I can't think of someone who would've done the character more justice than Josh Brolin.

Is no one gonna bring up the fact that star Lord basically fucked up the entire plan.
+Joao Rocha
He'd have to constantly provide resources though. Also, that would quadruple the universe population too.

He was brilliant the voice was so menacing
LOL kinda funny how fat Josh brollin was before his workout for Deadpool
Jevilz And yet he still get all the women wet in their panties.
Deven Armstrong
Sure he does with his fat 😂
Thanos and Cable. Damn those Disney/Marvel paychecks are going to be amazing.

JL failed at box office lol!!
I've heard about how the writers go out to a house and bbq for a weekend and just throw thoughts around, that's legit the coolest thing ever.
I can't believe they picked Ben Affleck over this guy to play Batman.
he looks more james bondish than brice wayne
+Morpayne RADIO Ben Afleck is going to do a great job. I would've however picked Karl Urban myself to play Bats.
+Morpayne RADIO yeah i think affleck its gonna do a good job but josh brolin was my favorite actor to play a Mature Batman when it was rumored.
LMFAO I BET YOU REGRET SAYING THAT BECAUSE BEN *_IS_* THE BATMAN
If they ever made a Batman Beyond movie, Tom Selleck could play Bruce Wayne.
Something tells me he hasn't realized how important Thanos really is yet. Good luck with your performance Josh, you gonna need it
"You can run from it, but your destiny will find you..."
Destiny still arrives...
He need not worry. He effing NAILED Thanos. It’s perfect.
here before the trailer drops
Josh did a great job with Thanos. Glad he got the part.
