Looks like a great program. I love the cold but... my goodness, Bro! The rotaries must be an amazing sight in person. I love the fact that they still have their original whistles. Best wishes, stay warm.
There is nothing like seeing a rotary in person. I can only imagine what it would have been like to see them under steam with cab forwards! These are still an amazing sight and sound.
As Jack Webb put it the mission of thew Roseville Service Unit is to "Keep the line Clear and Keep the Trains Moving if the Transcontinental Railroad shuts down the world shuts down every thing that America uses goes over Donner Pass and it is up to the Roseville Service Unit to make sure it stays clear. Rotaries go out when 16 feet of snow appears fallowing them are the Jordan Spreaders and the Flanger Cabooses. The Roseville Service Unit has been fighting this battle for 150 years and without them the Transcontinental Railroad shuts down and they are not going to let that happen.
I have the DVD of this, doing this must have been at maximum difficulty since you had to shoot this over a few intense winters and had to find spots where you and your cameras wouldn't be burried. But you did a good job.
Aaron, looks great. Can't wait to see it. Steve R.

Aaron, you continue to outdo yourself every time. I hope you didn't destroy any cameras in the making of this film!
All cameras accounted for. Had to unplug the lens hood a few times though. Thanks!
