I voluntarily looked this up to watch, coincidentally it's 1 day old. I'm well over 30 by now, but this video puts me into a lot of retrospection. My parents must have been saints to never laugh at all the things I liked as a kid, no matter how silly. One can make a case, like "but Pokémon is way more tasteful than Skibidi Toilet", but for every Pokémon, there were another 10 other very stupid things I'm sure we all enjoyed, that was overall meaningless or poorly made. If you watch the Chinpokomon episode of South Park, it can be likened to the anti-Skibidi sentiment of this age. Saw a Skibidi parade the other day, lots of kids cosplaying these nonsense characters with a few parents participating, costume and all. And it made me think I would really enjoy going there with my hypothetical son, having a good time with something obviously ridiculous, but that gets the kid hyped. Harmless fun, in my opinion, I "look down" on it as much as I look down on Funkin Night Friday, Digital Circus, FNAF, Roblox, Minecraft... all well past my demographic range and with a childish fanbase that make it cringe. This is a matroska doll the older you get, another layer to the generational experience. The Minecraft young adults mad at the FNAF teens mad at the FNF kids mad at the Skibidi babies. Excited to see what comes next.

that doesn't mean anything. third party companies can make merch of anything, can't they? see fnaf and transformers. but if they don't have the licenses or trademarks to the characters, it's still illegal. skibidi toilet uses assets from half life, created and owned by valve. pretty sure valve could sue dafuqboom for selling merch of their designs if they really wanted to. there's also the titan swords, which are very obviously recolored michael bay optimus prime swords, so hasbro could sue him as well, should he include said swords in merchandise. im not saying skibidi toilet *can't* have merch, im just saying it probably *shouldn't*
