I did. I always put a base of black down first just in case I can't get into the nooks and crannies. If you think you are really going to struggle getting paint behind something then I would use some coloured clay in those areas 💜
You can if your cardboard is far enough away from anything heated the clay does make a very good barrier between heat and card. This incense burn was my very first one so I probably would do things a little differently now and kept the armature all as tinfoil instead 💜
Hi, I have been using this one about once a week since making this video and it is still going strong and quite happy with the heat the paint around the top of the flower has tarnished a little bit though so I would perhaps coat it with either a hard waring varnish or heat resistant resin but other than that its still working well
I haven't personally tried it I think if you have it in its stick form you might need a sturdy holder for it as they are quite long and I'm not familiar with how they burn backflow smoke rolls down because of a small hole in the base so if you can put a hole in it then you might get a reversed smoke fall

Its quite simple to make but it takes a lot of testing throughout the process so if your planning on making one stock up on cones 😂

You can still definitely make one if it's really sticky I suggest leaching the clay by leaving it on some paper it will pull some of the oils out 💜
