Thanks for making this video. So all of this can be done in the sunlight? Not in a film changing tent? I am trying to rent a h16, but it has been modified for 400 ft rolls, I was wondering how similar the process is.
@@999yuiop Yes the Bolex may be loaded in subdued light, so technically outdoors is fine, but you want to do it in the shade if you can. Bright sunlight can flare a roll beyond the point of acceptability.
Sorry just saw this. It depends, on later H-16s there is a fail safe that addresses this (the camera door activates the loop former release switch). If the camera doesn’t have that, then the formers were in place and your footage may be scratched.
Thanks for this! I watch this every time I have to load this camera to make sure I’m not skipping a step 🙏🏾
Great! Good luck with the H16.

Hey thanks. It is from a film sound track! 😊
@@isaacbrooks5412 very famous Greek composer, kind of unexpected to find in a bolex video! Great anyway
Nice work!
❤😂
The pressure pad in my camera has the slightest amount of wiggle. Is it supposed to have absolutely none?
It should shouldn't move. How does your footage look?
@@isaacbrooks5412 I got my first roll back after posting that comment. Footage looks incredible! I guess a little give is normal.
Hi, I found out that I forgot to disengage the loopformers when I started filming. Will that ruin the film? 😊

@@isaacbrooks5412 ok, thanks for the reply.
I’m waiting for the film to get returned to me in digital form. So I hope it turns out well 🤞
@@magsundgot whats the inside your Bolex like? Is there a push-button in the center of your loop-former lever?
@@isaacbrooks5412 no push-button.
@@magsundgot hopefully it turned out ok!
Everyone is showing only about the camera body ,🤨
no one is into 30sec film roll video developing process ????
You want a video about developing the film?
