  • TIG welding beginner root mistakes. Tig welding is the most complex form of welding to learn for various reasons. TIG welding is slow and takes time to get used to as a beginner. A TIG welder requires to feed the filler wire and control the variable amperage while maintaining a steady hand at the welding torch

    When you weld, it seems so smooth and easy, while we just got back to reality🤪..seeing how it actually is, when someone else is welding! The struggle is real my man! 🤦🏽‍♂️😂. That’s how it is for most of us. Thank you for your inputs and trying to make better tig welders out of all of us! 👍🏽

    Odlican video buraz, super to pojasnjavas, ko profesor si 😜. Htio sam te pitat, posto vidim da bolesno varis tig, a imam frenda koji isto rastura s tigom al samo to vari i radi u Njemackoj. On mi reko da je prvo i naucio tig…jesi li ti odma poceo s tigom varit ili si prvo naucio ove druge tehnike, pa onda ganjo tig? Ja zelim taj tig usavrsit, al nisam bas nesto, mozda sam prestar sad,35 godina mi je, sta ti mislis? Vario sve drugo, al tig🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @X3MTIG
      @X3MTIG  Рік тому +2

      Hvala ti frende! Jesam, prvo sam krenuo s tigom i samo sam zavarivo tom procedurom oko 10 godina, tek kasnije sam poceo zavarivat s ostalim procedurama. Iskreno da ti kazem, da nemas prijasnjih iskustava sa zavarivanjem i neznas osnove, reko bih ti da je prekasno za postati dobar tig varioc u tim godinama, ali posto znas osnove zavarivanja bez obzira na proceduru, mislim da mozes postat dobar tig zavarivac. Jedini uvjet je da samo to i radis, to jest da samo varis tigom. I Naravno, puno volje i varenja. Mislim da mozes, ak imas mirnu ruku, jos nije kasno 😉

    So if the rod and the tungsten are pointing towards each other that's when you melt too much rod and get grapes? The tungsten and rod should be closer to 90 degrees? 😊

    I KNOW THIS GUY IS RELATIVELY NEW, BUT HIS GLOVES ARE WAY TOO DAMN HUGE AND HE IS RUNNING THE ROD THROUGH A FOUR FINGER DEATH LOCK, NO WAY HE CAN MANIPULATE IT.. HE STILL NEEDS TO WORK ON HIS TORCH SKILLS AS HE IS NOT GETTING MUCH PUDDLE CONTROL, AND HIS TIGHT GRIP ON THE TORCH IS ALSO HURTING.. I USE INSULATED TIG GLOVES, THEY ARE SMALLER, MORE FLEXABLE THAN STICK/MMA GLOVES, AND ALLOW YOU TO CONTROL THE ROD EASIER WHILE NOT BURNING YOURSELF ON THE PIPE..

    Give yourself some land and close your root gap to thickness of your wire you will get less penetration. Why waste your time having to put so much fill into your weld

    I was gonna suggest in my previous comments that you could also be welding instructor.
    Cause you are pointing the important stuff of the process: Coordination, rod feeding angle, high and low spots .....
    Thanks again
    for all this input. To me it was supper helpfull.

      Lower your amps, find the amps that you can handle, and slowly increase with time.

    Great video man ! I'm training on 2" sch 40 at home, trying to break into the pipe game after 7 years of aero repair work - so your videos help me a lot.
    Your apprentice is going to be great because he has your guidance. Not only that - he is already a pipefitter, guy is going to be a superstar once he dials in his technique, would love to see follow up videos on how he is improving.
