Spread your cranberries on a large flat baking pan and you can examine them faster and more accurately.

That is how I inspect them.

After years of straining and picking and rinsing I finally settled on the baking sheet method for fruits and beans too. So much better!

You are a trooper with a white towel (I mean, I love the steam juice process etc) - but girl, a white towel :) I would start to have a breakdown with one little speck of spillage. Love your videos!

Great video. I just canned cranberry juice for the first time the other day. I had about 3/4 of a pint jar so tried it out. It turned out great. I plan to start canning more juices down the road.

So, $20.00 worth of cranberries in 20 bags made 14 quarts of cranberry juice. Cheaper than store bought cranberry juice of the best brand and one knows exactly what is in it.

I am thinking $20. Worth of cranberries only made 7 quarts….I think she kept adding cranberries to the steam juicer as there was room?

I have a new juicer and I’ve been waiting for someone to do cranberry juice with one. I’ve seen people can cranberries but I wanted to use my juicer. I can’t wait to go shopping for cranberries this weekend.

If you put 2 pennies in your water of the juicer or steamer they will rattle, as long as you hear the rattle you know you have water, no sound no water.

Hi I love everything you do, been watching you for years. I have the Euro Cuisine EC9500 steam juicer with the spigot. I don't use the spigot and why I didn't buy the steam juicer type you have. Nothing wrong with neither. But touching that hot metal on the tubing not fun. Then it will eventually wear out or get to dirty to use then you will have to replace the tubing every time that can be costly. I find that it is a waste of time to use it. When I'm finished juicing I carefully pick up the pan with the juice in it and carefully pour it into a large bowl. Then ladle it into the hot jars. Saves a lot of time and not using by kitchen chair to get damage. I also use it to steam my chicken for broth with the celery onions or whatever seasoning I choice to use. I have learned a lot from you. I Thank you

I have been collecting cranberries as soon as they came out. My freezers are full of them. I have juiced and canned them. Freeze dried the pulp. Freeze dried the chopped berries and still need to make more cranberry sauce because we like it year round.

I have a juice canner like yours and I’ve done elderberries and grapes and they do really good. This is interesting watching how you’re doing the cranberries so I will see how many it takes according to what you get out of it and I’m wondering, can you make then the leftover cranberries into a jam compost of some kind

I will have to check prices on cranberries. I will steam them. I have several types of grape juice downstair that I will sweeten the cranberry juice with. I will also use fresh pressed cider next year after the apples are pressed. They will be bottled in pints so I can mix the flavors

I like thick juice. You get more flavor that way. I will make this juice. Did you use all 20 bags to make these 7 quarts of juice. Cranberries are not on sale where I live but I keep looking. I am completely out of your cranberry jalapeños jelly, so I will at least get enough to make another batch of it

Oh I didn't know the cranberry juice can discolor without sugar being added. Now I'm wondering if I can use a sugar substitute in it. Maybe not. Hmmm
