Am I the only one who prefers Flowering Night over Night of Nights? I like the more subdued, normal tone over the ridiculous BPM of the remix. I think it fits Sakuya's character far better as well.

I related them immediately because in both Touhou and DMC3, I got particularly fond of the final battle because I struggle way too much getting there, as DMC3 and Touhou 7 were my first DMC and Touhou games respectively. In Touhou 7 in particular, I remember playing for months, losing constantly to Yuyuko, then that one time I finally got to her final spellcard and that music started playing, and that generated inmense hyped, similar to the build up DMC3 gives to the final battle (which is also tough as hell)
In a way, Dante and Vergil were fighting at the Edge of the Underworld, where the Underworld could mean the dead, and Life is the human world. So they were fighting at the "Border of Life" At least that's how I would interpret it even though OP's reason is much simpler than this lmao.
