Theoretically Tetris has a limit, presuming a truly random sequence of blocks. You'll eventually run into a sequence in which you cannot complete a line.

Not true. NES Tetris's true killscreen was achieved by human players relatively recently.
A kill screen is not the same as beating the game. The game was glitched out.
