Вставка
  • Опубліковано 15 жов 2024
  • Jake McCandles (John Wayne) enters a vile den of killers...
...to pay the million-dollar ransom for his kidnapped grandson.
Their leader (Richard Boone) issues a stern warning.
Jake counters with a warning of his own.
I neither own nor claim any rights to this material. Just having some fun with it. Thanks for watching!

This one of my favorite John Wayne scenes. It's also a good way to negotiate from a position of weakness. Make sure the other negotiator knows that even if his side wins, he personally will lose.

The scene is definitely in my JW Top Ten, but probably not #1. The Horseback Duel in True Grit, the brawl with Will Danaher (sp?) from The Quiet Man, bringing Debbie home in The Searchers, the clay side fight from McClintock to name a few.

Richard Boone. Paladin. Have Gun, Will Travel! He was also a direct descendant of Daniel Boone.

Actually, he's a direct descendant of Daniel Boone's brother. So Daniel Boone would be a Great Grand Uncle. Pat Boone is a direct descendant of Daniel Boone, though.
