Keep making videos these are very good and very informative. We are a mechanical contractor and we usually deal with plumbing, ductwork, and mechanical pipe but we use Revit alot. I'll be watching alot of your videos because i want to find out the best and most efficient ways to use Revit to produce our drawings to the GC. Especially liked the dependent views video that helped me out alot because I was always having to split up one drawing to fit them on a sheet. Thanks for all that your doing.
How can we do extrusion in section? It keeps asking for floor plan reference while I want to do it from the other way. I know I can do a sweep but I want to make an extrusion in this case
You can, it has everything to do with setting the work plane prior. Once you set the work plane to the same plane you want to "extrude" from in a section view, you will be good to go!
Your lessons are very good, and it helps me lots. Please make a lesson, how start a project from #none template. Open Revit - > New - > none - > project - > OK. Than how set all for a new project. Please make it.
I could make this, although it is almost as simple as saying there will only be the most basic views and families needed to use Revit if you do not choose at least a default template.
You can only use the measure tool in a 2D view so try that. Also, you can measure the extrusion when you are editing it. There is a start and end dimension so the distance between those points is the distance of the extrusion.

@@ArchitectureVanguard Thanks a lot for your reply
How to control extrusion in upward direction only?
in my revit lt 2021 extrusion is not showing ,what is the reason
Assuming you are in an in place model or a family then I am not sure. For things like this, I always like to restart Revit. Hope that helps.
How do you measure the extrusions ? For some reason I can't use the mesuaring tool
